I'd rather the Lakers have him in the consultant role that Jim suggested.

Jim Buss: I have no issues with Phil coming back.

Jim Buss on Phil Jackson: I have no issues with him coming back

Many people blame Jim Buss for Mike D’Antoni’s hiring; they wrongly think that Jim has a problem with Phil Jackson. However, as far as we know, he doesn’t.

Not only was Jerry Buss the one who made the call to hire D’Antoni, but Jim has “no issue” with Jackson returning to the Lakers, according to Ric Bucher:

“We can call him at any time,” Jim said. “(GM) Mitch (Kupchak) has sat down with him several times, especially with the Dwight situation. I’d be more than happy to have him on a consultant basis. I don’t think we’re paying him and I don’t know if he has an official title. I have no idea if Jeanie wants to sit down and discuss that. But I have no issues with him coming back or having a role.”

However, if something could be worked out, it’d be great to have Phil hold an official position with the purple and gold once again.

All this sounds so ridiculous.

Phil should be our COACH or GM, no a [expletive]ing analyst.

By the way, stop defending Jim Buss for all his mistakes, please.

Right cause Jeanie saying Phil could be an analyst and would be willing to is just a way of defending Jim.... -_-

Some people need to let it go.
