One of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. We Laker fans are spoiled to have a leader that refuses to give in no matter what the circumstances are. A leader that will take the quickest route to returning back into full form. A leader that is hungry not just for wins but for the ultimate goal, a championship.

Now 35, many pundits doubt his ability to return to form after the Achilles injury. But that's just Mamba fuel for Kobe.

Happy Birthday, Kobe Bryant!

And go get that 6th ring. :)

Most definitely. It'll be so emotional when he retires. Honestly, I'm not sure how I'll handle it. He's the reason I watch the NBA today. Once he's gone, I feel like the NBA will be empty to me.

But Kobe's influence will always be within the game. Just like MJ's.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CUZZO!!!

How exactly are you guys cousins?

I mean if im Kobe's cousin I would probably have a lot of information about whats going on with the Lakers instead of just speculation. lol.

Even Vanessa Bryant's nephew have connections with Kobe but somehow his own cousin doesn't?

Unless i am unaware that you do see Kobe every time you have like a family gathering.

I think there is this guy from Akron, Ohio who call himself the King.  A lot of people are jumping on his train and it is moving fast. Maybe you should too.   I know a lot of lakers fans are doing it.   I probably be the very last person to do it. Never was his fan and probably never will until he put on a purple and gold.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

I don't enjoy Lebron's game as much as Kobe's. It's not even close. I acknowledge that Lebron is the best player, but maybe Kobe spoiled me with his countless buzzer beaters and impossible fadeaways that I don't find many other players that interesting. :P

I'm the same age as KB. Part of the reason I admired the dude so much.

Happy 35 KB.

And our generation when we were kids, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't work? We would take the game cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid our age in America did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards or FAQ's. We just figured it out. Today's kids are soft.
