^ Kobe's probably like MJ in being ultra-competitive at almost anything even outside of basketball. I'm sure he even took or takes his piano lessons very seriously.
Didn't Phil recently say that one of the differences between MJ and Kobe is that MJ carried his competitive nature off the court whereas Kobe was a bit more mellow?

^ Hence my "probably". It's an assumption I'm making that I'm not certain of and as for the Phil thing I can neither confirm nor deny that.
I remember where it came from now. It's in his 11 Rings book.
“They both have this competitive zeal that’s unmatched,” Jackson said. “You tell them to run through a wall, and they’ll say how deep, how wide and how high and everything else. They’ll go through the wall. However, the competitiveness for Kobe stops at the end of the basketball court. He’s not competitive anymore. Michael wants to race you in the car and beat you in ping pong. He wants to beat you in cards and wants to beat you in golf. All those things. He’s competitive all the way through"

Bravo to Kobe for his hard work! I love me some Bean Bryant, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. I know for a fact that he's been taking lessons and studying music with a well known professor for some time now--"1 year...learned it by ear" is probably not true. And he should really go back and reconsider releasing that video. His Beethoven is full of mistakes and there are blatant ensemble issues everywhere. Give me one day with him and I can have him fix all of that, knowing how quickly he picks things up. Just my twenty-four cents!

Nice finishing touch. Always good to see you around here especially since it's so rare.
Thanks, invisible man! I am still around and keeping up with my Lakers, just not much to talk about these days... :/
