Why haven't girls ever been allowed or able to play baseball? Who invented this idea & have Females ever complained and tried to change it?

They did in WW2. Over hand and all that. Like in the Movie League of Their Own. Lots of those girls are in the MLB HOF.

That's not baseball though, that's softball. I'm talking about what LakersGAFan said. Actual baseball like throwing overhand & stuff not underhand. It just seems like it was an idea invented out of sexism or something and knowing how old & traditional of a game baseball is overall, doesn't seem like they'd want to break that barrier and let Females transform into baseball players not softball players.

To some extent though this all surprises me a bit considering the time that we're living in now with Women so empowered throughout society in so many facets more than ever before, yet I don't seem to see any potential movement in this regard. I'm sure Women would be even a heck of a lot respected more (at least those who play softball) if they made the change to a more similar & equal playing field to that of us Men.

Women have softball which is equally as tough to play as baseball.

Closer distances, means the game is a lot faster to play.

What is the fastest miles per hour a Woman has ever pitched and what do the top fastball Women pitchers clock on average?

A good pitcher in softball will have her pitches equal to around 95+ MPH from the closer distances.

I've seen Jennie Finch strike out Barry Bonds years ago and she made him look completely clueless against her.

^ Damn. So why didn't she ever think about trying out for the men's game? Maybe minors at least?

Nah, throwing a softball is completely different then throwing a baseball.  You have to have some skill to throw a ball underhand lol

^ I totally get that, but my why didn't she or has anyone else tried to learn the other way and change the landscape dramatically? Does no Woman out there feel good enough or equal to at least be given a shot to compete with Men? Is it really not important to any of them or does it just seem so impossible to happen or be changed that none feel it's worth the hassle?

I don't understand why women just don't have a regular baseball or the WNBA players just don't have a regular basketball

^ They do generally have smaller hands obviously. Not sure if that has anything to do with it though since their basketballs are smaller, but their baseballs or softballs are bigger.
