Houston Rockets, I'm told, are wrapping up a deal with free agent Ronnie Brewer

Dammit! Why didn't Mitch call his agent? I was hoping the Lakers to sign him since nobody wanted him.

^ Lol, I agree, but some may feel otherwise.

Wes definitely has more "potential" though for what that's worth.

If I'm in Brwer's position knowing that all i am getting with any decent team is the vet's minimum, then this is a pretty good choice from his perspective.  Great pickup for Houston at that price.  Talent attracts talent.

They're yet to replace Carlos Delfino i feel like signing a shooter should have been a bigger priority but regardless Brewer brings solid D and energy.  I'm glad he didn't perform well with the Thunder last year though or else they would have been dangerous.

brewer can only score on the inside so I hope they don't try to use him as a jump shooter.   If he's their replacement for Delfino then....he sadly won't last.

The more I think about it the more I wonder why they made this move...

Brewer is great at cutting and attacking close to the basket.. the Rockets main weapon is three point shooting... unless they are planning to use Brewer as the Shawn Marion type(and even then his shooting isn't as good) then I don't see what his place on this team is... if it's to eat minutes away from Parsons or to replace Delfino then it seems like a mistake.    It looks like it's feeding into their idea of slowing down the offense for Dwight.

Because their team last year isnt going to be the same as this year plus with new moves to possibly be made.  If guys think they are going to hang on to Asik for the D12 at the 4 combo, dont be suprised when they get a good deal for him.  A 3 team involving Orlando, NO and Houston sounds ideal for all.  Asik to NO, Big Baby to Hou and expirings to Orlando.  Houston could probably do better than that though.
