We all respect the truth

You do not speak the truth. Idiot.

The owner of the Lakers refused to take responsibility for the controversial decision to hire Mike D'Antoni instead of Phil Jackson?

Maybe because he did not make the decision, and that Dr. Buss was the actual decision maker who hired D'Antoni, not Jimmy. Get your facts right.

Blamed his father

When the hell did Jimmy or Jeanie blame their father. All they said was that their father had the final decision. You idiots take something and turn it into a story.

Some people just refuse to accept the truth.

Jerry Buss had the final decision. End of story.

this is [expletive]ed up and its not productive for the Lakers, we should start supporting jim buss, whatever he does, he is still the head of the Lakers, [expletive] what some random espn [expletive] says, jim buss still is the owner.

we blame him for too much things tbh

You know you're wrong when the fan base defends Jim Buss. The media must be getting bored.

Who cares what some low-life espn journalist says. [expletive] him.

Jim Buss is getting blamed for everything these days. Fact of the matter is, both Jim and Jerry probably wanted to go back to a more showtime-esque basketball and had hoped that 1) a Nash-Howard pick-and-roll game would work 2) that MDA was a good hire in that regard and 3) that Howard would cover up on the defensive end.

I think they had a plan to ship out Gasol for a guy who'd fit that system and if it weren't for the fact that everyone got themselves injured, they may have been successfull.

The story behind this is stupid for a number of reasons.  First off who cares who hired him.  He was a bad hire.  If Jerry did it, it only speaks to how not in control of the ship this FO was.  Jerry Buss was on his death bed for roughly a year.  IIRC Jeanie said he hadn't seen a home game in person since late 11-12 season.  That is more than enough for him not to be making staff/personnel decisions.

This is disgusting on a more personal level. To insinuate that someone is blaming his own dead father for a bad hire is in incredibly poor taste. Even if you think you are right, you better hold your tongue when you don't know for sure and it concerns a family.

ESPN has hit a record low.
