Look how quickly he reaches up and catches + dodges the ball.

Funny thing is, that's in slow motion.

I'm trying to gauge the batter's reaction. Was he more disappointed that the pitcher caught it, in shock that he did, or upset that he wasn't able to hit him in the face instead, get a hit, and take that over the pitcher potentially having a career ending injury?

I think he may have thought that he hit the pitcher in the face and was like, "oh sh.." but it could have been anything.

It almost seemed like the pitcher tried to troll everybody for a few seconds there as he just lied on the ground not moving at all seemingly dead & then suddenly getting up like nothing, lol.

No player wishes to hit a pitcher in the face.  Probably the worse feeling in the world.  When I was younger, I hit a pitcher in the shoulder with a line drive and I felt horrible.

^ Even in those rare cases where a batter actually has a history with the pitcher and hates him?
