I disagree and the debate isn't about eras per se but what he did and how he did it.  MJ went 6 for 6 in Finals and was the best player hands down for nearly a decade.  If Lebron was 2 for 2 right now I'd give him the nod as being able to catch MJ or if Kobe would have 3 peated that 2nd time and possibly a 7th I'd give him a shot easily.

The bottom line and this my last post in this thread is that MJ did what Kobe is still trying to do in a much much shorter time.  The end.

The problem with the Jordan debate is. Even if there is a greater player than he was in the future it still won't be recognized. Jordan is just untouchable in people's mind. I don't think mj would stand out any more so in today's game than Kobe does

In regards to the teams the Bulls played... Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp does that sound like a title team?

Barkely , and the no defense Suns...cmon dog.

Karl and John or Mj and Pippen with the best defender at the PF position guarding the jazz's main offense threat.

Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp were a devastating duo. That team won 64 games and lost to MJ and the Bulls in 6...no shame in that.

Charles Barkley...HOFer and one of the greatest PF of all time. Then you had Kevin Johnson who is one the most underrated players in league history.

The Glove and Kemp were a great team. They were the number 1 seed in the West for a reason. Barkley won MVP that year and the Suns were the number 1 seed in the playoffs. Karl Malone averaged 24 and 11. Try again.

Lol. You obviously did not watch any basketball back in the 90s if you don't think Kemp and Payton are not a tittle team.

Seriously dude you gotta stop making stuff up. First you said Mo Williams carried lebron in game 1 against boston back in 2010. Now you're saying Kemp and Payton are not tittle team?
