Under the radar and counted out already. Cannot be bad as last year, so being underdogs I embrace it and welcome it. Go Lakers!

Wes Johnson using a Kobe quote when looking at the season

Everything Negative , pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise. #kb24 #lakernation

Although there is a good chance that this team may not be all that good, it will still be easier to watch than last season. I'm sure everybody here knows just how frustrating it was to watch that "super team" struggle night in and night out and get swept in the playoffs. I mean, just the fact that there will be less drama this season is a win in my books.

I kinda like this team...

they just need a PF...

Its full of people who are HAPPY to be a laker...

And proud to play with Kobe...

No players like Jamison who came for a free ride for a Ring...

no players like howard who are going to cry and whine over the pecking order

just a bunch of people who want to be lakers

This part ^^

That's what makes it seem like it's going to be a fun year. There should be a nice cohesion of players that will just play hard together. I'm excited off of that alone.

I think it's very hard throwing VETS who aren't role players together , and PERHAPS it could work if they are all the same age range like the Celtics big 3, but when you have a guy still establishing himself(Dwight or Kobe in 2004) that dynamic will not be pretty.

I keep looking back at how Farmar, Sasha, Ariza , Ronny looked UP to Kobe and Fish so that big bro- lil bro bond is different than the role Blake Barnes and Metta played.
Wes, Farmar,NY,Hill,Meeks and Odom/Jamison/Vet yet to be waived/Lou Amundson
I think u have guys fighting for NBA lives, all of which have things they are good at.
I think Nash, Pau and Kaman could play .500 ball or better for an entire year without Kobe. Especially with Young, Meeks, Hill and two back ups for Nash.

My question is would they trade Pau and Blake for a Young stud and maybe One bad contract.

Because Blake playing well could leverage a JHill type deal easily, if a team needs a back up PG , and Farmar and Nash have solid seasons.

And Pau is still a 19 mill dollar expiring and Lakers have sold everybody on 2014 but things could come to a head with Rondo or Love or even Westbrook. Perkins is a bad contract. Blake and Pau fit better on theory around Serge Thabo and Kevin.

Ill build around Westbrook with Kobe as his mentor.
