Probably because I heard all his early stuff, lyrically he has changed so much so my initial thoughts are he isn't as good as he was  but top 5 even by today's mainstream standard without a doubt.

As for this song it is nice for what it is and good lyrically but cannot say it is amazing by his standards.

He's top three, overall...but I have to separate "rapper" from "lyricist" when it comes to rap nowadays.  Definitely the greatest lyricist ever, though...I personally can't find an argument against him.

YES! Been waiting for some new Eminem... to me, it doesn't compare to his old stuff, but his wordplay never fails me.

I'm with RD.

Lyrically?  I can't.  He's close, though, although I really never liked Nas.

How dare all of you?  Snow was the greatest of all time.  Nobody comes close to the Canadian sensation.

Well, this beat won't get him where I want him, which is on top of the urban charts, but he has a ton of fans who don't only like Rap/Hip Hop sounds

Em is ONE of the best lyricist, but what he IS a super lyricist on par wioth all the greats in hip hop hiustory, but his "SWAG" is down a ton.

He is getting old though.

And before I get a bunch of dudes telling me that "swag" ruined rap, PLEASE. Rap and Hip hop as a culture, born from the ghettos of NY, is built on the cool factor just like all Black Music genres, but Em is losing his relate-ability and being someone that kids want to be like and ladies want to be with.

not ready to call him #1 lyricist of all time, but he is far too often overlooked in that conversation, there is no name anyone could bring up that he wouldn't be in the conversation with...seriously listen, not just hear, listen to slim shady LP and marshall mathers LP...then come back in here and tell me otherwise.

this came on my phone set to random earlier tonight...some may not have heard this verse, but one of my favorites from em...kicks off the track immediately so you really don't have to listen to the rest of it...just the first 1:08 or so

Still pretty good but not anything like his old stuff. Hopefully he gets a couple "westcoast" style songs like Till I Collapse.

I love how metaphorical Nas is and his storytelling. I mean... rapping about being a human gun? Rapping about a scene that happens backwards? He's done some pretty genius stuff.
