what the hell is motor city?

Hmm, historically, before Detroit is the way it is now, the city was known for being the hub of the automobile industry.

I'm guessing.

"Another one."

i've been hating a lot of teams jerseys, not just in the NBA, that have been super gaudy, flashy, eye-stinging jerseys...

but super plain is bad too when it's not interesting

you can have plain and interesting jerseys...but not these

seems like a summer league jersey lol

also, how in the F have some people never heard of motor city?  Like others have said, i thought it was common knowledge lol

A lot of posters here don't get out much I guess

About these jerseys though...it's like the entire NBA is trying to get into minimalism. All these re-designs are just awful.

At least they look better than what the Suns came up with.

what the hell is motor city?

Motor City is Detroits nickname. Like Chicago is "the windy city".

Ford, GM, Chrysler known as "The Big 3" auto makers all had their biggest manufacturing plants and corporate offices there.

Thats why the Detroit Lions play in Ford Field.

And Motor City is where "Motown Records" got its name from.

And as stated in another post thats why the NBA team is the "Pistons".

Dont ask my why the MLB team is the Tigers and why the NFL team is the Lions though...lol.

And I like the Jersey saying Motor City. A good tribute to the way things used to be and the way it still should be.
