Its all taste, at the end of the day. If you feel that their opinion on hip hop and rap holds more weight then yours or you firends, that is on you. I would never take another mans take on anything over my own thoughts. The verse was good for hip-hop, his bars in it weren't anything special. Heard meek call out weezy (when he was huge in the game) and Jay before on a track in back to back bars where is the video break down of that? Over hyped for a rapper that is in the spot light. Like lupe said "yall easily impressed" I like that he called cats out, but if your gonna do that at least make sure your bars are right on the track.

Guess I'm just in the minority that this isnt a big deal in the terms of him dropping some lyrically, spiritual, soul, and hot [expletive] that everyone apparently sees it for. To each his own.

Lyrical soul kendrick was in s80 and gkmc. These were bold statements coming from a hot rapper. The lyrics went hard IMO especially towards the end with the dreads attached to a condom (parachute) lines.

I dont see it as a diss. They are all cool with each other just a competitiveness battle. It may seem like he is dissing him but he is not. This is what Kendrick wanted.

Exactly. He pretty much started a cypher... haven't had a good hip-hop cypher in a long time.

Like Meek Mill said... it shouldn't meant to be taken personally. It is like a little trash talk on the basketball court, just competitiveness. They all know each other personally.

Lupe's response went pretty hard...

"Dear Lord have mercy on banana clips

Give em' half call it banana splits

But my halves are really like a banana six"

He basically just said he has a 7.62x39mm bullet for each of the rappers mentioned in Kendrick's verse, including Kendrick. (double a six shooter) He then went on to mimic B.O.B., T.I., Kanye, Jay-Z, Drake, 2 Chainz, and Lil Wayne.... it was pretty genius, you have to listen more than one time, carefully.

Like Lupe as a rapper, don't like the choice of songs he makes though and certainly thiunk he looks down on damn near everyone, so it's hard to root for him.

The fact that all these rappers have "responded", and most have come out with very good freestyles and nothing soft shows that this verse has done what it was supposed to for rap.

Still in reality he name dropped "mainstream" rappers, of which I doubt any will respond. Most of these responses are coming from actually skilled rappers that don't have high fame. Personally waiting on J.Cole to respond.

drake will have some words for Kendrick, but on his album or right before it drops. he is trying to be and going to be rich, and I can't hate on him for that.

Cole might say something, Meek is weak for not responding in my opinion. ASAP already said he isn't going to respond, so it is what it is
