Is it just me but am I the only one who always had the hots for her? She is the number one cougar.

Anyway it is so refreshing to hear her voice even though she did sound like she is about to break down and cry.   But to be honest with you, I am more intrigued of having a Jim Buss interview than Jeanie.  She is too nice to even say what is really on her mind.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

Doug Gottlieb said today that she was asked via Twitter if PJ had coached his last game. She said, "No."

I can't find the tweet.

Phil Jackson said "this group" of players with the new signings is going to do "really" well under D'antoni.
Feels Jordan Farmar will be "great" in D'antoni's system.
Phil says he would have been a better coach for Dwight Howard but thinks that without Dwight that D'antoni will be fine.

Ask if Phil has coached his last game.  Jeanie gave an emphatic "No."

According to Jeanie.

Jeanie also remained tight lipped on whether she thought Carmelo was coming to the Lakers and if their plan is gonna be to take someone from another team or sign free agents, and what is preferable whether it was in the draft or free agents from she stuttered a bit and went "eh.. d. well.. mep...  Mitch is.....very good at putting pieces together and making trades" in a delayed way saying if you know what I mean, sort of like she knows more than she puts on.

When asked "Who's the next Lakers star?"

Jeanie said "He's out there...a kid that's watched Kobe Bryant playing while he was growing up is gonna want to come wear the purple and gold. We will have to create the best possible situation whether we draft him or whether we trade for him, or whether we scoop him up as a free agent."

But she wants Kobe to reach the 20 year mark with the Lakers and says "it will be something that will never be seen again especially in this new CBA"

Also said she felt like Jerry Buss would have had a better relationship with Dwight and said Jerry was the "best closer in the game" when it comes to woo'ing free agents.

Said she "understands" why fans hated the billboard and she understands how fans say it's not the "Laker" way.

But Jeanie said she wants fans to understand that they lost the man who made the "Laker way" in Jerry Buss so that they are all trying to adjust to being without him.  :(   Could tell in her voice how much she missed him :byecry:

Also though biting her tongue on Carmelo or other free agents the Lakers may go after, trade for or draft, she picked an interesting way to close the interview..

She also said to close the interview

"It's sort of coincidental how Phil was the last Player to win a Championship in New York....."

hint hint....  subtle Jeanie

It's pretty obvious right now =P  kid that idolizes Kobe.... grew up watching him... maybe someone that's like a little brother perhaps?

.... taking a dig at the Knicks in the final part of the interview saying PHIL was the last guy to win a championship in New York =P

..... yeap.....

This relates to what I was saying in MJ video post. There's gonna be someone out there that watched Kobe growing up and he's gonna be our next star.

btw, i think that they're going for melo and someone in the 2014 draft.
