I think he has an understanding that Dwight is a [expletive] but won't say that outright cause he want's to maintain friendships with the players.

pretty much this. If a superstar trusts you enough to disclose info with you and have a interview with you..you do not want to break that..its good journalism.. i think SAS is highly entertaining and he backs up LA even tho he is an east coast guy. I respect him.. one of the few that i respect that is employed by ESPN.

Kobe has maintained such a high level of play for almost two decades despite injuries.  I have an ankle sprain and a cut on my foot and its hard as hell for me to do insanity.. i can only imagine having big pains and injuries at the professional level... Kobe is not liked well for who he is.. but he personifies what I want to be and that is work towards perfection and thriving despite all the odds.. kobe is a living fairy tale in so many ways.

I really think Harden is not that great. He had a good year in Houston but still it is too early to put him in Kobe or Wade's level.

Those ESPN idiots may have been invited to one of Harden's parties.

People here have more insightful points of view than those at ESPN.

The Guys WHO think Kobe is overrated were writers from 48minutesofhell and Red94 - a spurs and rockets site.

No one cares what they think.

Why? Not like truehoop or him are relevant.

kobe was the 2nd best player in the NBA last year. he had the team on his back more than KD and he put up just as good of stats. boom.

more people would agree if they used their own brains OR stopped hating.

btw, year before this past, kobe wasnt even a top 5 player in the league.

also, harden is probably a top 10 player. far and away the 2nd best SG

Kobe and Randle led Lakers lead the team to a 32-50 record. the Lakers select Myles Turner with the 5th pick.

Harden isn't better than Kobe but Kobe is overrated and underrated at the same time.

James Harden?  I just don't see it.  This isn't even a Kobe thing.  Best in five years?  What about guys that aren't here now?  Andrew Wiggins or somebody else maybe.  What about Iggy or Monta Ellis.

I just think Harden might be a little overrated.

^ Completely agreed. I only didn't leave a comment below it there cause I don't like leaving comments on things where it shows from my social network account. If there were a quick & convenient more anonymous type option I'd do it. I don't know. I'm just weird about that I guess.

Nice article WC.

Ofc those ESPN idiots won't give up any evidence that shows Harden is better than Kobe. But you gave some that proved otherwise.

They just talk out of there ass.

Mike D'Antoni is GARBAGE.

Wait some of these people were knocking Kobe for not being efficient, but don't they realize Kobe was more efficient from the field than Harden last season?

I swear half the posters on here are better analysts than people who are paid to do it for a living.
