Drunk drivers blow through stop signs. High drivers wait for them to turn green.

There have been deaths relating to marijuana DUI cases. It's just not as frequent as other DUIs obviously.

Just in their system or known that they were high during the incident?

When I saw "Beasley released" in the title and then I read about death relating to marijuana, for a minute I thought the guy was in prison.

Heat Considering Bringing Back Michael Beasley

Michael+Beasley+Phoenix+Suns+v+Miami+Hea

Adrian Wojnarowski 17 minutes ago Yahoo Sports

The two-time defending NBA champion Miami Heat are considering the possibility of bringing back troubled free-agent forward Michael Beasley, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Several of the Heat's key veteran players are supportive of the signing of Beasley, and he has a strong interest in returning to the franchise responsible for taking him with the second overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft, sources told Yahoo.

No offer has been made and no deal is considered imminent, sources said.

The Phoenix Suns reached a buyout agreement with Beasley on the remaining two years of his contract last week. Beasley, 24, was charged for marijuana possession in an August arrest, adding to his considerable history of issues surrounding pot.

Reading that the Thunder could also be interested as Beasley is Durant's childhood friend.

wouldn't be a bad move on the Thunder's part either.

He would not play for Spo unless Bron went down. Not a defender or defender or shooter.

I can see him going to OKC to fill that scoring off the bench role that Harden played. It would be a nice fit for him.

So far the three teams I'm reading are The Lakers, the Heat and OKC with OKC being "maybe" the front runners more and more lately.  Nothing official yet but I'll post it if I get a reputable source but it's starting to appear more often :)

Hate to say it, but I'd like to take a look at him. Of course, I also wanted us to take a look at Isiah Rider too and look what that got us. Must admit though, I'm interested.

Hey, Rider played good for us off the bench and had a few good months, that 20 point performance against Dallas is one that stays in my mind, Phil benched him in favor of Deavon George for the playoffs but he was fine off the bench for us and actually lead the bench in scoring.

Didn't derail us nor was he a terrible trainwreck =P

though our coach and veterans could deal with him too.

He was Artest like. He would have been a great twitter to follow had they had it back in the day. :D

no news today? you figure he will be signed soon, as camps open in under a month. it's a long shot, but i'd still like the lakers to pick him up for the minimum.

The news is that The Lakers, The Heat and OKC want him.

That's pretty much where it's remained at so I'll assume it ends when one of the three sign him.

I hope it's us but the question is if he'd take less to be here.  The reason Williams and Henry were signed were just in case he went elsewhere as it's not set in stone he signs here even if we pursue.   Though Williams I can see staying cause of the unsureness of Kelly.   Henry...eh..

There isnt any news that anybody has interest in Beasley at this point.  Honestly doubt that any team touches him right now that has something to lose.  OKC doesn't need the added BS, Heat maybe and I just dont see the Lakers making a move on him.  I could be wrong but don't post news that isn't there.  Enough credible sources out there.
