So who said the Lakers brand is done?  Only an idiot will think that. This shows you that the Lakers is STILL the best franchise in the NBA and probably in sports. Why? Because even if they suck, people still gives a crap. Love them or hate them. Lakers will always be a story.   Lebron who? Asked anybody in the WORLD. When you talk about the NBA you talk about the Lakers. Kobe is more popular outside of the miopic Lebron James love fest in the U.S  Now why is that you asked?  Because not only is he one of the best player in the history of the NBA but he played for the Lakers.  It seems to me that many do not understand the Lakers brand. I know who doesnt.  Some 6'11 guy who think its too big for him so he went elsewhere.   A lot of people scratch their heads wondering how in the world is a team with MDA and chances of missing the playoffs have the most national tv time.  Well the people who scratch their heads about this are people who doesn't understand the Lakers brand.   This is why the Clipper nation and the Clippers will NEVER take over LA.  Lop city my ass.

Lakers >  Any other team.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

This season is supposed to be a throw away one, but we're still playing the defending champs on Christmas.

It could secretly mean Stern is devising a plan to bring the Laker back on top before he retires. We will shock the world.

Or it means everyone should see us suck.

The Bulls, Knicks, and Thunder have more National TV games than the Lakers next year.

29 games is still a good amount though and enough to piss off other people.  Lakers are still must watch, regardless if they are a contender or not.

Man you love to rain on people's parade don't you? Fine since I can't changed the title, can you change it to "Lakers have more national games than the Heats next year."

The Lakers may not have a great product to put on the floor, but they are still popular. They sell out the most merchandise in the league. That just shows you their popularity. Wherever they go, they sell out away games.

For this season, the Lakers sweeping the Rockets during the season will be equivalent to winning a championship lol
