Well he's on a team that has some of the biggest floppers on it and some of the softest players aswell.

Matt Barnes is the biggest fake tough guy in the NBA. Actually, Garnett takes that cake..

Regardless of the hypocrisy in Barnes saying the NBA has become soft he is still correct.

Sorry to say but if you're under 25 years old you have never watched a REAL NBA game live.

I agree with Matt. Today's NBA is soft. And I hate the zone defense rules. Bring back the old rules and hand checking back.

Ironic, but true.

"You watch anime?"

Barnes is 100% correct.

A lot more money is made on the NBA's athletes now and the rule changes have all been put there to protect them.  Unfortunately its adversely affected the game, and not for the better.

Barnes is absolutely correct.  But going back to the Detroit bad boy days is not the answer either.  Somewhere there is a happy medium between goon basketball and the no touch stuff of today.

When the game's best player in the league is the master of flops and more times than not completely gets away with it & is seemingly protected (which pretty much then basically encourages the act), yeah the game/league is soft.

I miss those hard fouls and tough defense made it much more interesting.

If NBA was still as physical as back in the days then I don't know how many superstars we would have left by now.

Stars like Klove, Kyrie, John Wall, Curry, Wade, and etc. are always injured anyways. Imagine if they have to play through injuries and getting hit hard every night.

Right on Matt B. word to the mother ship. These ticky talk foull calls slow the game up. The constant rule changes on the charging and blocking.. Defensive three seconds and the clear path fouls... I agree... Just about all these cats couldn't get with that 80's or 90's bball. The way Barkley or Malone were physical.. The way Jordan would bang on folks and take the foul and want more contact.

he's right about the hand checking. The rules for the game have changed tremendously to make scoring a lot easier now. That is why I am not that impressed with player who spend most of their possessions running in a straight line towards the basket to score.

Once upon a time that wasn't allowed and player had to throw the ball at the round orange thing attached to the back board in the hopes that the ball would go through it,

The Lakers FO knows more than you. Sorry.
