Kevin Durant On Thunder's Offseason Moves: 'I Love It’

Durant-feeling-the-heat-in-the-4th-2L1ND

When asked his opinion about Oklahoma City’s offseason activity, Kevin Durant offered a three-word response: “I love it.”

Durant then walked away from the media, seemingly upset, while taking in the action at the Team USA minicamp in Las Vegas.

The Thunder let Kevin Martin go in free agency and lost out to the Memphis Grizzlies in the race to sign Mike Miller.

Miller was personally recruited by Durant.

Sam Presti screwed up now that Kevin Durant is pissed.

I do think Durant may end up demanding a trade a couple years from now if things don't turn around.

Shall I start the Durant Trade thread?

haha request a trade man. Kobe and Durant would be unstoppable.

We would also have one max contract to offer LOL

Would it be silly to assume if the thunder traded Durant to us that it'd be for anything less than requesting Kobe? I doubt they'd ask for Gasol

Of all players in the league, KD has the least percentage of putting on any other uniform anytime soon. Please don't turn this into the KD to Los Angeles thread.

He has every right to be pissed at the [expletive]ty job the front office has done, however.

Kevin Durant Hoping Thunder Can Attract Free Agents In Future

Kevin+Durant+Oklahoma+City+Thunder+v+Mem

By Darnell Mayberry Published: August 10, 2013

Kevin Durant confirmed he reached out to recruit Dorell Wright and Mike Miller in free agency, but both players signed elsewhere.

Still, Durant is hopeful the Oklahoma City Thunder can draw players in the coming offseasons.

“I texted those guys and let them know that it was no hard feelings if they didn't want to come to Oklahoma City, which is cool with me because those guys got to make decisions for their families,” Durant said. “Hopefully down the line we can get some players to come play for us.”

The Thunder signed Ryan Gomes and brought back Derek Fisher in free agency.

The Oklahoma City Thunder lost Kevin Martin in free agency and did not sign a big name player, and Kevin Durant knows everyone throughout the organization understands the franchise's salary situation.

“People that really knew, as far as our money situation, knew that we couldn't sign anybody too big,” Durant said. “We got myself, Russell (Westbrook), (Kendrick Perkins) and Serge (Ibaka) all locked in on big contracts so it's kind of hard to sign (someone). Everybody wants us to get the biggest free agents, but it's kind of hard to do that with the money that we have (committed) and the tax and the new CBA.

"So it was kind of difficult. But we knew the business side of it. But we know we have a really good team.”

The Thunder have more than $53 million committed to Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka and Perkins next season.
