“It’s a dream come true to get a chance to try out, not just to try out but to take the field with Inter Milan, one of the great, storied franchises in professional sports,” Nash said in an interview with the Associated Press. “I feel like a little kid.”

He better not get injured.. at the same time.. i wouldn't mind him trying to play soccer professionally for a year or two.. the guy has a real passion for it... and i like supporting people with a passion for something good

I'm sure some others here though won't admit it would hope otherwise just to help our "tanking" chances.

oh of course... there is no benefit to tanking imo.  Especially when the draft is often thought of as being rigged behind scenes. I think winning is like building muscles... you have to continue to do your best and work at it.. it'll eventually come a long.

I don't watch soccer, but I am an AC Milan fan. I don't remember why, but I am so him going for Inter is bad. Wish I had constructive criticism....

I think that's a pretty fair question.

People claim to be basketball fans but you could swear they've never watched a game in their life =P like heat or new clipper fans

It is not for the regular Inter Team which is one of the top clubs in Italy.

Professional soccer at that level is a bit too difficult.

Steve is trying for a friendly tmt - which is only slightly more serious than the Steve Nash foundation matches.

And he will make a token appearance anyway.

So chances of new injuries are very low.

I am a AC Milan fan as well .. so would have been nice to see Steve wear the Red&Black.

As long as he doesn't get hurt, it's all good. Plus it keeps him in shape. He will be ready for the season

Break a leg LOL. Good on Nash for trying out for Inter. Must be a fantasy of his to try out for a major Euro soccer team. Obviously its a well known fact he is a huge Soccer fan. If he makes it maybe Inter can buy out the rest of his Laker contract lmao!!! :D

Lol, I am Hispanic/ Italian. When I was little I remember their jerseys from the person that raised me, so I when I got older and looked them up. I just picked them naturally. In reality even in the World Cup I go for Italy.

But I admit I hardly ever see soccer at all.
