It looks like the early season theme is going to be "how the mighty have fallen".

 

Opening with Clips?  Houston the first week?  Miami on Chrismas?

 

Not a good first two months. 

 

I know, you've gotta play these games at some point, but it seems clear that the league wants to make sure it's going to highlight this for everyone to see.

I think the league is throwing all the playoff teams early at us because we are likely not to have Kobe, and have the second half of the schedule be winnable so we can make a late playoff push when Kobe comes back.

Something being overlooked here is that Houston may not be at their very best when we first get a shot at them.

 

Personally, I don't think we can win that game on the road, but we can possibly avoid a blowout.
