When healthy the guy is the best pg easily. He is stronger faster and more athletic than any pg

Being stronger, faster, and more athletic doesn't make a player a superior POINT GUARD than his peers...it just makes him stronger, faster, and more athletic.

Rose is one of my favorite players but he is barely a top five POINT GUARD.

Pau Gasol is GONE

and....still doesn't play good defense. CP3 is the most complete pg and the best.

Just a question for many of you, what in your mind qualifies a player to be the top point guard in the league?

You're really dumb. (Sorry mods, I never insult people, but it had to be said)

Coming from you, that doesn't really say much.

Vision is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of a point guard. the ability to set up the offense, knowing when to do what, and just being an extension of the coach out on the court.

It's like comparing QBs in the NFL. Colin Kaepernick vs Tom Brady or Mike Vick vs Peyton Manning or Cam Newton vs Aaron Rodgers. While Kaepernick, Vick, and Newton are more dynamic and explosive at their positions, they are not true field generals (yet) compared to Brady, Manning, and Rodgers.

Vision like Windu said. The ability to run an offense and control the tempo of the game. And pretty much having a complete game. Being able to finish at the rim, create for themselves and others, shoot off the dribbble, and playing defense.

I'm not to high on CP3, he gets to much credit for being the best pg when he hasn't made any deep playoff runs, and this is with a stacked and deep clippers team. As far as being a floor general I would take TP over him as well.

So then, Nash is a great PG according to your definition, right?

Put CP3 on the spurs.....they win the finals.

I have no problems with him saying this. Is he currently the best? Of course not, but that is the attitude you want to have. Id much rather him say this than him say im a injury plagued washed up former MVP lol. I love he has a winning mentality. I like how he said even though he won the MVP he still hasnt done nothing because he aint won a championship yet. At least he didnt say even if I never win a ring, I will still be a winner and MVP lol. Nothing much to read into his comments other than him showing his mindset and mentality.

I'm not into what If scenarios, it's an easy cop out. TP might not have as many assists, but most of his passes a lot of the time are kind of like hockey assists. For the system he is in he's perfect. Also, CP3 will a lot of times pass to an open guy even though that particular open pass to that person may not be the best play.

They both also had/have better teams than Rose did/does.

Agreed, Roses second option is a mediocre and soft Boozer.

Wow ! I can't believe this ass hole called him self the best player. Now I don't know how to define humble on this particular player.
