This is what you expect from a competitor and potentially a top 3 player in the league when healthy. Nothing wrong with what he said in my opinion.

I forgot how humble this guy is.

LeBron, Kobe, Durant, and CP3 are all above him even before his injury. He somehow passed all 4 of them after tearing his ACL.

Actually, he was the mvp on his last healthy season. Who knows if he could have stopped Lebron or not

Actually, i think Rose is better than CP3.

That last question shows Rose's mentality and what seperates him from other "stars" that have all the talent but none of the "winners" mentality.  Of course some feel they are already "winners"

One of the things that I loved hearing Derrick Rose say as he was rehabbing was "I have nothing to brag about. I won MVP.. so what? I can't talk. I'm not playing right now I don't have a championship, I got nothing to brag about or talk about."

That shows what his goal is.    He isn't already a "winner" cause he made it to the NBA he knows what he wants and what he wants to be known as.

Wow ! I can't believe this ass hole called him self the best player. Now I don't know how to define humble on this particular player.

Give him a break. English is not his first language. He's from another country. I'm sure he can't fully express himself the way he'd want to all the time.

Heat would have clamped down on him just like they clamp down on any superstar PG.

He's not. People, that EAST COAST BIAS THING AGAIN, gave him that title because seemingly he was single handledly winning games for this Bulls team who had no other superstar. But his numbers weren't SUPER and we saw hope this team played without him. I can't say he's the best anything at this point, not even PG, and I was on the Rose.Evans train when few were and even Rose. Durant train but he has a lot to prove.

but to win a title, just like Durant needs Westbrook, he needs Melo or a real top notch wingman

Lol, people on here are silly. When healthy the guy is the best pg easily. He is stronger faster and more athletic than any pg including westbrick and any other player not named lebron. Any time he play CP3 he absolutely abuses the guy because he can just outmuscle him easily, not even going to talk about his speed.
