If you seriously want lebron on the lakers
you must be mad thirsty

so you basically want lebron on the lakers to form a ''super team'' just like Miami did
hypocrisy much

Kobe and Shaw was a super team, magic Kareem and Jamaal wilkes and worthy was a super team, Michael Jordan Scottie pippen Dennis rodman was a super team. Wanna keep playing this game?

Oh, if he wants to take a couple million for 20 minutes a game, sign the guy.

Doubt it will happen

Anybody who doesn't want Lebron and/or Melo on the Lakers is clueless, 2 of the top 10 guys in the league, one being the best in the league by a long shot, and if they are both on the same team with or without Kobe, almost guaranteed rings.

I can see Melo but not LeBron. Two small forwards and Kobe barley being able to stay in front of 2 guards and needs to play some SF?? why would LeBron leave Miami and Wade to play with Kobe?? LeBron would actually look foolish. Ring chasing from city to city. LeBron will finish his career in Miami or Cleveland

Would love LBJ to come to LA.  But chances of it are not good.

If LBJ wins next year - he stays in Miami.

Even if Heat does not 3-peat, chances of Riley getting additional help in Miami is much more probable.

Only if the team chemistry breaks down completely .. and say Bosh or someone sleeps with his mom - we have a chance of landing LBJ.

Not getting myself down this road. First you never know if one of em will surely come, let alone both. Second, even if they came as a trio ,which is great, you never know what circumstances they'll face. We all were thrilled about the Chicago record last year, even Metta talked about breaking it and it turned out to be a bust. Yes injuries played a big roll, thats why you never know what' obstacles this trio will encounter.

For the trio, 2 of them has to sacrifice being the alpha, which means Kobe and Carmelo have to accept LeBron will be running the show if not, there is no reason for LeBron to come when he can be in a team such us Cleveland or Miami if they made the right moves to contend.

LeBron would obviously want to win, and the Lakers probably are his third option for now.

Carmelo is more of a realistic option considering his friendship with Kobe and the situation with a 2nd rounder Knicks..

Just can't see it. I'd rather one of the two and Cousins or Wall. The thing that makes Miami so deadly is their big 3 has contrast and all three of them like to pass. Carmelo would get eaten alive if he had to play the 4 every night, especially in the Playoffs

Melo would play the 4.

The 4 is Carmelo's most effective position

That would of happened if it weren't for the veto. If we had CP, we would still have Dwight.

Kobe will probably lead the Lakers' recruiting pitches to LeBron and Carmelo. He loves playing with both guys.

LeBron dictating the offense + Melo's volume scoring + Kobe closing games/ putting us back in games = Over-powered

It's a pipe dream, but what a beautiful pipe dream it is.

Kobe isn't an idiot, he'll take a paycut if it means bringing in the most talent and giving him the best opportunity to win another championship. He's just not going to up and shout it for every beat writer to quickly jot down. He wants to have some semblance of leverage.

Hopefully the pitch will not be "Come to LA. I can teach you how to be a better winner"
