Anyone see Sportscenter?  Chris Broussard was just on and reported Jennings is most likely to sign the qualifying offer which is a 1 yr deal than enter the free agency next year of class 2014.  And said that Jennings dream is to play for the Lakers.

Would y'all take a Jennings, Kobe, Melo trio?

Hell no. Jennings/Kobe/Melo would be horrible with one basketball.

No, not unless Brandon Jennings blows us away in the next season and proves to be more than a chucking, turnover prone point guard that has no idea how to run an offense and thinks he's better than he actually is and will stay in the league with people having high hopes for him primarily because he scored 50 that one time.

I don't see anything wrong with that either.  Although I wouldn't pay him more than 12 mil next year.  Dude is yet to prove himself, especially on a team like the Bucks with no other player to out shine him.

No way. Unless he got told to just pass and play defense.

Nash Kobe and Carmelo I can deal with.

Jennings... no.

Carmelo would cooperate with Kobe and they've already formulated how their games would change if they were on a team together.  Same can be said of a player like LeBron.

But a guy like Jennings?  No.  He isn't a max player, he's barely a mid level exception player, he thinks he's worth a max contract and is a chucker that doesn't know how to get people involved in the offense, doesn't make good decisions when passing the ball and his claim to fame is scoring 58 in his rookie year.

Unless he proves to be more than that this season and just blows us all away I'll hold onto that money and wait for 2015 to sign John Wall when he's unrestricted.

For somewhere in the 10 mil range, maybe a 3 year contract with last year as team option - I'd say why not.

YEP, he gave us leverage.

lets say Wall wants 10-13

If he says he can take 7.5 or so for 3 years, I like the fact that he can play off ball a bit.. He is a guy I trust with a wide open three over Wall or Rondo or a guard like that,

one dimensional in a sense, but also has a ton of"moxie". A real kobe fan too. i would not hate on this deal, and also Nash is a mentor somewhat of his.

Thing is while you could trust Jennings with the open shot.

I would trust Rondo and Wall with everything else.

if we're talking 2015, if Kobe is still here, I would rather get a point guard that can take the ball out of Kobe's hand so that he actually can play off ball a bit.

I don't want Kobe having to initiate everything going into the 2015-2016 season.

I'd rather have Wall or Rondo, as opposed to Jennings who would be another in the long list of point guards that would need to be force fed by Kobe to find their offense.

I'd take Rondo and Wall strictly because I can trust them to run a team, you can't do that with Jennings.

Report: The Milwaukee Bucks are actively shopping Brandon Jennings.

I'm told Brandon Jennings wants to play in a "big market." So far, his wish list includes the Lakers, Mavs, and Knicks, via source.

if the Knicks were smart they'd do everything in their power to get him and put him next to Melo as a second scorer to at least ACT like they have an interest of his in mind.

Melo is actually an offense initiator as well, it will be Kobe as a natural 1-2-3

Melo as a natural great scorer in his physical/mental prime and jennings a player learning how to play within a team with talent

But it could be players not named melo who are here as well, like LBJ, who knows.

I think Tony Parker could end up as a Laker to be honest, because rebuilding is something I can't imagine he would be into, and then you're talking maybe 8-9 million.

You have to look at the direction OKC is taking and wonder will Westbrook and Durant be there for the future?

Kevin Love?

OKC seems to be investing somewhat in Reggie Jackson, if Westbrook isn't there at the start of the season it could be something they consider.   If it comes down to choosing Westbrook or Durant it's likely they pick Durant and just make him run the point forward.   Depends how that works out but they may see Westbrook as expendable depending on how this season goes for him.

And I honestly have no idea what direction OKC is taking.  My guess is they are gonna be depending on Jackson and Lamb to be their bench....

So for Lakers to S&T for Jennings - they need to get under tax deep enough so they are under apron after trade - don't see the math

For instance, if Lakers traded Hill/Blake to Bucks for Jennings - most Jennings could make is about $4.4 mil in 1st year - roughly

So then why do the Bucks do that first of all - secondly does Jennings come for cheap - seems fanciful to me

It's possible for this season, but would he willing to play for 4.4mil lol

4.4 sounds about his worth level right now. :D Young has shown just as much as Jennings, and we got him for cheap.

A young PG. :D :D
