This guy was the d league MVP

He is about to breakout in the summer league

Before you say it's just the summer league I have watched most of the games there is alot of good players.

Why did we let this guy go? I know he didn't play great when he got called up but this guy is just developing and seems like he's gonna breakout.

I think Andrew is a better prospect then sacre lakers need to develop guys like Andrew, morris, Evans, sacre but we seem intent on playing them when we need them then let other teams steal them.

Also why didn't josh selby play the first game?

At the very most, and I mean most, he MIGHT be able to be a nate robinson level type of player, and that is being generous.

too slow to guard a pg and undersized to be guarding a sg

i liked him but im ok we let him go

As much as I love God-on-lock's game, why is this in Lakers Talk?

Didn't Ebanks score 21 points in a summer league game last year?

Nick Ypung and Meeks have better all around games. He won't even make the Bulls roster.

G-Lock a great player, no doubt. But, for the NBA he would have to work on being more explosive and speed and more of a liability on defense. Then again, who knows, he might have a breakout season like J-Lin

He's way more of a complete player offensively than Meeks since he can actually at least create his own shot and the majority of us wanted him over Meeks as evidenced here:

but what can you do? Life isn't always fair.

Really? Didn't Ebanks have one good summer league game that led to CDR being cut last year? Maybe 2011?  I swear that happened sometime while Mike Brown was coaching. :eh:

How many d league mvps can you name? Probably none. And how many of them have gone on to have any kind of meaningful production in the NBA? None.

He's not good enough. We don't need him, it's not like he's the piece that could make or break the season.

He's filling it up again.  Already 9 points out of 4-5 shooting.  Goodluck to him, hope he gets a chance this year.

I expect him to make the Bulls team.

With the absense of Nate Robinson they need a scorer on that second unit.   Goudelock can be that guy and can take Nate's role and he's been playing combo guard thus far and in Thibs system his lack of defensive skill can still be used to shrink the floor even with his size.  So perfect coach and perfect system from him ALSO being able to go against and learn a few things from Derrick Rose in camp and practice.

So I pretty much think the backup 1 or 2 spot is his if he continues doing well.

The spurs youngster who broke the NBA Finals 3pt record, on a season in which he started off in the D League, would disagree. ..

I'm happy for him. Still disappointed like the majority of Laker fans we picked a player who shoots it about the same from 3 in Meeks, but can't even create his own shot instead.
