Not a bad signing. Guy is young and could amount to a decent player. Low risk high reward kind of thing.

This kid sucks, but almost everyone looks good with the vet mins price tag. Let's see what he has.

I like this signing a lot. Younger and athletic. Young farmar and now Wes. Would like to see another athletic big added to this squad.

Thank god. I don't want Odom or Maggette. This isn't 09-10 anymore, those guys are so washed up. Getting these young players to come in for the minimum is great. If they pan out, fantastic, we now have a little bit of young talent. If not, who cares? This is going to be a down year anyway, at least give some young guys a shot instead of the same old tired players getting run out of the building.

Considering the circumstances, I think Young, Farmar, Kaman, and Johnson are great pickups, and they're all cheap one year contracts.

Wow. Great signing.

I want to keep this guy around past this season. He's still only 26 years old. Give him one season under Kobe's wing as opposed to a limited off-season and he will be a great asset to have off the bench.

In a week, our team has become somewhat young and athletic with the addition of Farmar, Young and Johnson.

Mitch has done a great job building a respectable roster with his hands tied the way they are.

Wesley Johnson was once SO hyped he was given the best dunk package in NBA2k11 and was literally unstoppable at the rim and was one of the most overpowered dunkers in the game

To say he hasn't panned out as was predicted would be an understatement.  However he is still good at the basket, it's everywhere else he has a problem.   We'll see how he pans out.  40% shooter but great at the basket finisher, so I guess it was between him and Ronnie Brewer.   Fine with me to be honest.

was it you that you posted a link about Brewer game to me? I like Jonson as well. Young, has potential to learn. low risk.

yeah it was probably me.  I really did want Brewer on this team for defensive reasons.  But Wesley can defend too, it's his offense I'm worried about.  But when he gets to the basket he's about as unstoppable as he was in that video game, it's when you force him to shoot a jump shot he has issues

Here's his rookie mix.

His next season was HORRID after his rookie year, but this last one on the Suns wasn't THAT bad but it wasn't that good either.

Kobe mentors the kid and thinks he could be special, we'll see.

Here's the shot fake he did on Westbrook and subsequent dunk on Ibaka, he's got big hands so he can do that

it's also why he's an "alright" defender.  But that second year in the league was the kind that most people fade into oblivion over, I'm glad he did well in Phoenix the next year and bounced back somewhat.

Surprised we signed him to be honest but if it was him or Brewer I'm not mad at this signing.

He is young, athletic, and 6'7. Only for one year vet min that is a great deal. He can finish the fast break for us, something Jodie Meeks or others could not do last year. Maybe he breaks out for us like ariza, shannon, or earl did for us.

Johnson averaged 8 points in 19 minutes last season. That's pretty decent. We need as much bench help as possible right now, especially after last season.

I'll feel better about this if he can ever demonstrate to shoot better than 39% from the field.

Wesley Johnson = Trevor Ariza 2.0

Nick Young = Jamal Crawford 2.0

Chris Kaman = Chris Kaman

Next season should be rather interesting to say the least haha.

This is probably the youngest and most athletic the Lakers have been since the Brown and Ariza days

And also, this dude was my 6th man on NBA 2k13 Online Association, he has a nice form despite low shot ratings haha

Huh. Interesting pickup. Wasn't expecting this. It's for the vet min, so I guess I can't complain. He shoots an awful percentage though. Still, it's really nice to see some young legs on this squad.
