Lakers agreed to terms with SG Wesley Johnson...1-yr deal for vet's min of $1 mill. Was 4th pick in 2010 draft, played last season for PHX.

Great deal tbh, liked him , and is low risk/high reward type of deal

Hes like a 6 foot 7 version of Shannon Brown...but has a much higher defensive potential though. Interesting pickup. Not sure if he fits D'Antoni's system. We'll see

I think he and Kobe have worked out in the offseason before. Next Ariza that Kobe can mentor? ha

He doesn take many shots right at the rim but he has a very high FG% in that area. Encouraging

He's more a small forward than a shooting guard though.

i like this signing!

this is going to be an interesting season. I think we can compete and compete at a high level if healthy.

Our young players are going to have a tryout season to see if they can make the '14 roster. If they crash..then they crash

My guess is that we are trying to sign as many "scorers" as possible, let their stats inflate under MDA, and sell them by the deadline.

I wanted Ronnie Brewer! I just got done watching Wes Johnson's videos youtube then I saw the signing of Wes Johnson topic. Kinda strange. Welcome to L.A., Wes!

Seems to me Mitch has done a wonderful job at adding pieces with potential trade value and flexibility headed into '14.

Nice signing. We all know his flaws but for vet min cant argue. We needed young athletic wings. Welcome Wesley I hope you can unlock your potential at the Lakers.

Wesley Johnson was once SO hyped he was given the best dunk package in NBA2k11 and was literally unstoppable at the rim and was one of the most overpowered dunkers in the game

To say he hasn't panned out as was predicted would be an understatement.  However he is still good at the basket, it's everywhere else he has a problem.   We'll see how he pans out.  40% shooter but great at the basket finisher, so I guess it was between him and Ronnie Brewer.   Fine with me to be honest.

Only red flag is hes played in Rick Adelman's player friendly system and wasn't very good. Lets see if he can find his spots and fit in like Ariza did
