Thank you for the memories, Ron. Thank you bringing the Lakers to a 16th NBA Championship in 2010 with that great game 7 performance. You knew what it really meant to be a Laker and to put on that golden armor. You played with heart. You played your ass off for the team. I'll miss your interviews. Your interviews are funny and entertaining. Once a Laker always a Laker. I'll miss you playing for the purple and gold. I wish you the best.

It is probably time to go, but Metta's past contributions are much appreciated. I enjoyed the aggressiveness he brought to the court; he always did tend to put on a show. To better days World Peace, peace! :clap2:

^ I was at that game. Literally everyone in the stadium was saying "nooooo" (including me) when he took it, then it was just this giant explosion of cheering.

Absolutely unreal. I'm going to miss Metta.

Sometimes you wish it was the old CBA where we could get him to take less money on that other contract cause he's absolutely worth having on a team it's just the 7 million that hurt.

Man, I get chills when I watch the shot in game 7. So awesome.

Metta was a nut case sometimes but he always put his body on the line when he put on a Lakers jersey. I'm going to miss that left hand of his pick pocket all those gaurds and forwards night it and night out. If it wasnt for Metta then we wouldnt have number 16 hanging up at Staples right now.

Farewell, Metta/Ron! #TooSexyForMyCat

Best of luck to you, Ron fierce Artest. I appreciate the toughness and energy you have brought to this organization and your contributions on and off the court will be missed dearly. Thanks.

Metta came in to every game ready to play.

No matter how he was feeling, no matter how many touches he got--he came to play and he gave a full effort every time he was out there on the court. His effort during his tenure here only comes second to Kobe's.

Even when he got injured this year, he rushed himself back because he wanted to do everything he could to help us get into the playoffs.

Yes, his skills diminished tremendously, but he always played like a grown ass man on a nightly basis.

Yes, he took too many shots this past season, but I'm going to look past his horrible performances because he was a loyal player who showed up every night and gave you all he had.

More than I can say for a lot of guys on this team. Ron has heart and his prescence off the court will be missed far greatly than his play on the court.

I wish him the best this upcoming season, hopefully he gets to go back home to New York and make a deep playoff run with his hometown team.

He'll always get support from me as a fan, regardless of what team he's on. Thanks, Metta.

Where's the one against the Phoenix Suns?

That was one of my favorite Artest moments.

That was just a magical season.

But it is a perfect microcosm of Ron Artest while here.
