A league source confirms the Nets have agreed to terms with Andrei Kirilenko. Wow!

Apologies if this has already been posted, but that's amazing. The Nets have an extremely strong starting 5 as well as an extremely strong bench now with Brooks, AK47, and Blatche.

Thanks! I forgot they acquired him as well along with Pierce and Garnett. The Nets team is going to be scary especially if they stay healthy. They have a stacked team like Miami, but they are deep everywhere from the guards to the front-court. It will be interesting to see what happens in the post-season when rotations are shortened.

Joe Johnson / Jason Terry / Jerry Stackhouse

Paul Pierce / AK-47

Kevin Garnett / Reggie Evans / Mirza Teletovic
Brook Lopez / Andray Blatche / Mason Plumlee

Y'all had forgotten' good ol' Jerry Stackhouse. Old as dirt, but can still play. Don't leave him that corner 3.

Also, JJ is big and strong enough to get burn at the 3.. which allows them to play small (but effectively) with KG at the 5, and AK at the 4.

This team is coming around nicely, but god damn, this dude Prokorov must have some deep [expletive]ing pockets.

Love how Americans thinks that every Russian has mafia connections.

Where's fido to blow the whistle on the racism now? Or does that stop when it comes to Russia..

That could be taken as a compliment for some too. It means they're tough and you don't mess with them. Kinda like Italians as well. Wouldn't even wanna' mess with that prankster guy Vitaly. He's Russian too.

My Russian family and friends actually take offense to the whole mafia reference. It's all so outdated and controlled that IN Russia saying mafia means some guy with money who's involved in politics. Like Mitt Romney would have been rumored to be apart of the mafia. Not necessarily doing anything illegal, but those who do admit to being part of the mafia are definitely not idolized by your average Russian.

Americans think every Russian is in the mafia... Lol, what?

Anyway, very nice pickup by the Nets. They could be serious this season. Only two things that could derail them; coaching and health.

I still think hiring a rookie coach fresh off the court in Jason Kidd with this roster was really dumb. They should have brought in someone like Hollins who could do more to maximize their potential.
