Listening to this type of stuff makes me relieved that he's gone. It is only a matter of time before drama arises in Houston. Dwight won't like the amount of perimeter shooting in the offense and Harden won't like Howard clogging his driving lane all the time.

Harden is only getting better, and this coming season he will be better than he was this past season. Dwight better prepare for Kobe 2.0 in Houston.

Im sure the FO knew or at least imagined that dwight would not return for a awhile now (months even) maybe to us was a big surprise.

Dwight never wanted to come here in the first place, and that was because of kobe so this isn't news lol

which makes me think the whole banner thing was just a ploy to make the fans think they were taking dwight staying "seriously"

Right of the Lakers insider's mouth...someone who's around the team 24/7, hangs around the players, during practice, etc. He even flat out said Dwight resisted and Kobe is at fault? This guy pissed off freakin Steve Nash whos is the most unselfish guy in the NBA

https://twitter.com/...230128973946880

Does DH think Harden's gonna cede HOU to his control like @ramonashelburne's report implied he wanted Kobe to?

Harden is a guy who wants to be the man in his town. Kobe IS the man, but clearly wants to win above all.

Pretty clearly win above all. Olympics, 2009-10 Finals, even last year, changed his game according to need.

https://twitter.com/...237082093993985

Not only resisted, flat out refused to run as D'Antoni/Nash asked, as Nash said nicely on @ESPNLA710.

How freaking dumb though...Dwight the best P & R finisher for a Center in 2011/2012 and the dude was injured and had bad hands in 2012/2013, he simply didnt want to run a play where he didn't feel comfortable enough and push his limitations SMDH.  Really doesnt go to the extent you need him to win a ring...faces adversity and runs and resists

Wow. Oh man, the amnesty thing alone might fuel Kobe to get back in elite shape again, and shut all the doubters including this howard guy.

So Dwight was refusing to run pick and rolls with the best pick and roll point guard in the game, as well as a guy who makes Pau gasol's life easier through pick and rolls with Kobe who was able to navigate for Shaq in the triangle...

Dwight really wanted to prove he was a post player and a "real" center didn't he...

You know ONE thing I felt about the Lakers, and even on this forum last year was there was a lot of stress and tension in the air and a lot of negative energy.

Since Dwight has left I've noticed the atmosphere has changed a lot.  Around here and among the Lakers I feel.

Dwight was negative energy from the get go.   Now that he's gone maybe that's why the feel is so different around here lately.

And everything just keeps crawling out of the woodwork. Glad he's gone really.

  1. @LakersReporter @KamBrothers Dwight has yet to prove he can play with, want to learn from or really help any proven star, so we shall see.

@KamBrothers @SamirK92 @KevinDing - Not only resisted, flat out refused to run as D'Antoni/Nash asked, as Nash said nicely on @ESPNLA710.

This may be a reach, but the Lakers will have a better record than the Houston Rockets.

If we sign Nick Young, CDR and Lamar Odom. I won't doubt it.

Dwight should take a page out of Lebron's book.  Didnt matter how much Dwade wanted to be the man once Lebron became the main reason and at some point sole reason the Heat were producing wins the hierarchy shifted.  Only caveat to that is Kobe isnt Dwade and im not sure in Kobe's mind that even if Dwight took control would he allow it fully if he was around.  Just something to think about.

While I don't even consider him anything more than another player in an opposing NBA team, all these reports are very entertaining lol.

When Kobe got injured, Dwight had the chance to take on the team and carry it through the playoffs, or as far as he could, and what did he do? He went back to baby mode and choked. Kobe took this team from Shaq and demanded talent in order to be competitive again, he was given that talent and he delivered with an MVP season, 2 Chips and 2 Finals MVP.

This is Kobe's team and it will be until he retires and until we find another star who gives us a ring, just as it was Magic's team until Shaq and Kobe arrived.

Dwight had the chance, he choked, he shouldn't demand anything from Kobe but advice and mentoring, glad he's gone.
