If we can keep Nash at 30 minutes CAP, no back to backs, and just games off at times where his body needs a rest.

Pau and Kobe around 32. Kobe on no back to backs that involves travel.

Period.

Kaman shouldn't be playing more than 28-30 minutes either.

Blake,Farmar,Meeks,Nick Young and Wes Johnson assure us that our back court can rest up comfortable.

Hill,Ryan Kelly and Robert Sacre don't inspire the same feeling of comfort for me.

So who's more likely to become a tank team if they have a few injuries and a rough start

Denver, Memphis, or New York?

And do you think the Lakers can get their hands on a star via  that route?

For example, Memphis starts 4-12, and then Zach Randolph tears his ACL, do you think Marc or Conley could be had?

Or some situation similar to that on a team that is historically cheap...

Hawks should be thrown in that category.

Denver and Memphis are gonna drop. I think that much is sure.   New York is gonna struggle.

I think NY is a ?

Felton/Smith can play at an All-Star level for a long stretch and then become bad players for stretches.

If Bargnani is not hurt, he could be a GREAT addition off the bench.

Basically Melo as a 4,Tyson as a five with 3 guards like Smith, and Felton and Shumpert.

Then off the bench with Pablo,Bargnani and Amare and whomever, but I think Amare and Bargnani could co-exist off the bench as an annoying combo to deal with at times.

Looks like they want to start Bargnani...big mistake

Hmm, so D'antoni plans to play an 11-man-rotation this upcoming season.

PG: Steve Nash/Jordan Farmar/Steve Blake

SG: Kobe Bryant/Nick Young/Jodie Meeks

SF: Wesley Johnson/Elias Harris

PF: Jordan Hill/      ?       /(Ryan Kelly)

C: Pau Gasol/Chris Kaman/Robert Sacre

I originally hoped for signing Ronnie Brewer instead of Harris. But based on Harris' draft prospect, he can provide defense, rebounding, and frequently attacks in the paint. He shouldn't be too bad.

Getting a rim protector should be our next priority. Tyrus Thomas seems like an ideal fit, but his knee injury may be a problem. A basic gritty, defensive-minded PF would be an alternative. Ivan Johnson could play the role, but the Knicks are interested in him. I'd like a reunion with Lamar Odom, but I just don't know how much he could provide. If he can provide defense and rebounding, then go for it. But Odom is probably hesitant to sign himself since he doesn't expect the Lakers to keep him after this season

Once completed, this roster can make some noise if somehow everyone remained healthy.

Meeks won't play at all?

Meeks won't play at all?

Both Kobe and Young will see a lot of mins at the 3 and Harris will see mins at the 4 so Meeks should get some playing time.

That being said with the pieces we currently have and can get we should perhaps look to move Meeks and/or Blake if possible.

I think we will see Blake playing the primary backup to Kobe, and Farmar backing up Nash. Meeks won't get much burn I believe. Both Meeks and Blake are capable three point shooters but Meeks is useless in any other situation, while Blake can find open man and has more impact on that end. They are both mediocre defensively.

Young + Wes Johnson is the ideal rotation for SF.

I assume Hill will start at PF and Pau is played as center. Kaman won't service as the only backup. I think we will see Ryan Kelly playing 10-12 minutes a game.

Pg: Nash (30) - Farmar (18)

Sg: Kobe (30) - Blake (18)

Sf: Young (32) - Johnson (16)

Pf: Hill (28) - Pau (10) - Kelly (10)

C: Pau (22) - Kaman (26)

10-men rotation. Meeks/Harris/Landry/Sacre completing the roster.

I forgot to put Meeks in there, my mistake. He'll probably get in a few minutes to knock down some threes. And if he remains consistent, then I'd expect he'll be used more.

I want to sign the pot head Lamar back. Who knows how good he'll be, but why not do it if it's only for the minimum?

The least Lamar could do is rebound. And that's what the Lakers need.

Anything more would be a bonus. For some reason, I believe being back in LA would provide some resurgence. A consistent 8 points, 7 rebounds, and some defense in 20 minutes of play would be amazing.

If Kobe sits, Nick Young will likely be starting 2 and Meeks would be backup

^ Yeah. Young is more capable of creating his own shot and has a larger arsenal of offensive moves in general than Meeks.

Nah, we'll make another move. It's been a bit quiet though. Not much information nowadays except players being added to training camp.

I think we'll make another move. We could use both a 3 and a 4.
