Well the team is pretty much set. Probably last 3 will be summer league scrubs to fill spots.

I think they'll still add a PF to the team then have the final spots go to camp invites.

I would like to think its Lamar Odom but it could very well be a young player like Austin Daye.

This roster actually starts to look quite good. The idea that we end up as low as a 13th seed to me is ridiculous – unless of course we have the same luck regarding injuries as last season.

Our SG (Kobe, Meeks) and C  (Pau and Kaman) position is extremely solid and is only matched (but not passed) by Houston and we’re solid on all the other positions.

I hope Kaman isn't a starting center.

If that last lineup comes up, I will cringe and bump the Fire MDA thread.

Don't be surprised. D'Antoni likes small lineups.

Your right Dub C... I keep putting out of my mind that he is the coach. I have moved on but it is still depressing

Add Elias Harris to the roster.

So we're at..

PG Nash / Blake / Farmar

SG Kobe / Meeks

SF Young / Johnson / Harris

PF Hill / Kelly

C Gasol / Kaman / Sacre

I think the idea of keep adding players is a good idea as it would make us a very deep team who then can rest the starters if needed. It also gives us the chance to see who will work going forward.

There is still a few moves i'd like to see though:

With Farmar and Nick Young i think Blake and Meeks are somewhat redundant and perhaps we should look into moving these guys for someone with an elite skill-set - like shooting or defending. You should be able to trade them to a younger team trying to make a playoff push - especially with the new CBA that require teams to have a minimum payroll of almost 53 million. Another option is to move them for someone with a longer contract - like Courtney Lee - or move them for either a second round pick or a

also think we should try to make a move at Gustavo Ayon, who just got waived by Milwaukee. Ayon is a good passer and defender and can play both the 4 and 5.

Would also love to see the Lakers make a run at Delonte West and/or Ronnie Brewer.

D'antoni would likely use Harris as an undersized stretch 4 that cuts to the basket and finishes as well, just like he had him play that role in the summer league.

We really need a defensive stopper on this team. AND we need to sign Ayon.

^ Lakers should consider him. Plus, it could be a huge move financially/marketing-wise.

What do you think the back-court rotation would look like?

I think Farmar fits lot better as the primary back-up to Nash, who will see relatively limited minutes. Nick Young could either be the starting 2 or 3 next to Kobe or be the 6th man with Johnson starting at the 3. Regardless i think we'll see Kobe play <35mpg and both Johnson and Young get close to last year's minutes (<20mpg and <25mpg, respectively).

Perhaps it'll look somewhat like this:

PG: Nash (<30mpg) / Farmar (>18mpg)

Wing: Kobe (<35mpg) / Young (<25mpg) / Johnson (<20mpg)

Some of the questions is who gets the starting nod at the 3?

And where does Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks fit into all of this?

Does Farmar become the primary back-up at the 1 and if not, will he then get any minutes?

Roster looks ok in fantasy league.  Too bad they are real humans that must do real work...
