He posted his thought's about it on LG. Take this as a grain of salt.

But don't blame Mitch. Everything he tried to do this season to improve the culture of the team was overruled by Jimbo. They had Phil in the bag. But Jimbo hired dantoni without Mitch knowledge. Mitch can only do so much. From what I've heard from several agents that it was Mitch that could've improved the roster this season but Jim wanted to wait to 2014 or 2015. That's is as inside as it gets. (yes. I'm cool with agents. Ron son is a 6'7 14yr old with game. They on him early)

This should be obvious...Mitch is brilliant. He would absolutely hire Phil if it were his choice. Not only that, he would hire Hollins/Shaw/etc. right NOW if it were his choice. He's just doing his job - Can't bite the hand that feeds you.

His brother doesn't know [expletive].

It has been well reported that MDA was hired by Dr. Buss and it was his final decision. How was Mitch out of the loop when Mitch was the one who called Phil at midnight? Mitch did not agree with the decision to hire MDA, but to say he was blindsided by Jim hiring MDA without his knowledge is crazy.

Let me put it this way... If Mitch was unhappy with being overruled by Jim then why didn't he leave for Portland or other teams when he got offers for their vacant GM position? Who was the one who told Jim to tell the Magic that they had a 48 hour deal to get the Dwight deal done?
