The "Left Arm of the Law" Metta World Peace aka Ron Artest lived up to that name this year for the Lakers in terms of pestering defenders from that position with that hand.  While what seemed to be a disappointing end to his season as well as the Lakers season after a blistering start for himself the charts have come in.

Among Small Forwards in the league, Metta World Peace at 1.6 steals per game ranked 3rd in the NBA

Yes among alls Small Forwards in the league Metta World Peace was not only top 10, he was top 3 ranking only behind Paul George and LeBron James whom claimed the top two spots.

Good for you Metta.  Your legs may not be what they used to be, and your offense may not be what it used to be, but that left hand seems to be the last to go

Truth be told I had no idea he was 3rd in the league among small forwards at steals.  Good for him.

At least his left hand is good for something.

dude is a defensive player...
people ragged on him a lot...
but he plays good defense...
ussally steals leaders are quick players who take lots of risks..

Metta just has good instincts with his hands to get in passing lanes...

he still has a spot in the NBA... just not at 7 million a year

Cool. Now if he can stay in front of someone that'd be great

Metta is best when he isn't excpected to contribute much on the offense end especially. But his size and still reatlive good mobility are an assest on any competiting team, plus at times when he isn't being erratic which is pretty common he has some nice passes and drives, occasioanlly but still there.

Ultimately under MDA and to a lesser extend Mike Brown, him and especially Pau sufferend to no ends. Of course that might also be a product of failing to accomodate to Howard, hard to really gauge the scenario.

Even LeBron was getting burned by the likes of Paul George and Melo and guys like that.

Metta is way too big to guard Sgs, so I don't blame him for getting worked.

It just seems like Laker fans have unrealistic expectations for every player who plays in aLaker uniform.

Nash shooting the LIGHTs out, but he is too slow.

Dwight has no post moves.

Kobe is a lazy defender.

Pau sucks.

blah blah blah.
