Did not see this coming, and yet the Nuggets get JJ Hickson.

Dammit. There goes another dude off my Laker list.

Actually as a back up Im fine with that. Think him coming off the bench isnt that bad of an idea.

All I want for Christmas is a Laker girl :D

last stand - I think its because Cleveland is looking to offer Oden more money (as well as Miami).

Kaman would work as a back-up, I have no problem with it.

That's too bad. With Dwight gone its be worth a shot. At his best he was on his way to being the best defensive center in basketball

If you even captured 65-75% of that it would have been a great grab

Oden is the center I want...and I've probably stated that more times than enough. He can come cheap, and if for some reason he stays healthy, he is #2 behind Dwight in regards to defensive-minded centers...possibly #1 (at times, he defended better than Howard, statistically).

But, Oden will not take a one-year deal, and one that's cheap, if he can get 2+ years and a bit more money anywhere else, unfortunately...and it makes me want to punch the wall.

It's too bad about his knees. If healthy he probably ends up being better than Dwight defensively because his combination of size and athleticism were unmatched by everyone other than maybe McGee. But unlike McGee he was actually smart

I think if your the lakers it's a risk you take. 2 years 1.5-2 million a year.

The oft-injured big man has missed an average of 28 games over the past six seasons

JJ Hickson signed for 15 million spread over 3 years. Aside from Oden I would've like them looking at Hickson, he played solid next to Aldridge in Portland.

Again does it really matter. Just filling in spots at this point with small contracts

When you lose a guy like Howard, it is better and smarter to take a chance on a guy like oden. Almost a swing for the fences

Ya he may bomb, hurt his knee, and youre no better or worse off

But if he hits, the blow of Howard is lessened. Min MLE on oden.

It does because this roster is still capable of achieving 40 wins, add the right mix of spare parts and we can fight for a much higher seed. I know many are for tanking, but still that isn't the image you want to sell on possible FA's.

That episode was fantastic. Wish more people here on this forum and in general knew about the great genius of Sir Larry David. Really missing out.

Lol you may as well give Andrew Bynum a call with that kind of thinking.

I feel like the Clippers and Lakers have swapped spots. They get the triple A guys, we get the... whatever thing Kaman is.
