Celtics don't want our garbage for their young all-star. I realize they're going through a rebuilding process, but they'd never do anything to help us. Take some old players we don't want anymore for Rondo; don't see it happening.

What the hell can we give the C's for Rondo?

Gasol has to be included in such a deal, and we'd have no front court.

^ We'd still have R. Kelly & Sacre too don't forget. R. Kelly would piss on opponents.

The Lakers have always surprised me when I had doubts about them and free-agency. I'll stay optimistic for now.

We trading our 1st this year for Rondo too? Because they would want it. I think we should just trade all our 1st rounders for all time, so we can never have a chance at getting the next Kobe.

I'd make that judgement based on our success. If we are just sucking then I'd keep the pick

Chicago got the #1 pick with like a 1% chance and got Derrick rose

But if we are in the playoff hunt I wouldn't waste my time, just trade it for rondo and hope that a free agent big man becomes available within 2-3 years

Lakers want/need to make the team attractive to the 2014-15 free agents. They'll have a playoff team this season.

If D12 was bad for the team chemistry - Rondo will be like cancer.

Don't need that arrogant player in LA.

He can stay with Celtics and their 20 win team this season.

Uh no he won't. He's got the makeup of a winner much more so than Dwight. And he actually respects Kobe the way all players should respect him. Bowie Fett is right, the Lakers always find a way to surprise through free agency. Things suck right now because of Dwight leaving, but keep your head up. We'll be back. That's as sure as the sun rising tomorrow morning.

A lot of people called Kobe a cancer, piss poor attitude and arrogant

Rondo will go to war. Always has. He played a playoff series with a destroyed arm.

We'd be lucky to have him

For Ainge I think Pau's expiring is meh, he wants the 2014 pick.

The Wolves likely still have interest in Pau to pair with Rubio, are shopping S&Ts for AK-47 and have been trying to find a market for Derrick Williams.

AK-47 would be a good fit for what the Celtics are doing for a two-years with a team option for a third.

Wolves get Pau as a $19 mil expiring - well worth it!

Celtics get productive veterans AK-47 and  Steve Blake to round out the youth movement and ensure they beat the all-time season-worst record,  and the Lakers 2014 1st.

Lakers get All-star Rajon Rondo, and Lebron James stand-in Derrick Williams

Amnesty MWP. Sign Kaman, LO, Nick Young, Morris and Glock

Lakers 12:

Kaman

Hill

Odom

Kelly

Williams

Young

Goudelock

Meeks

Bryant

Morris

Rondo

Nash

My small-ball rotation with 4 mins left in the 4th if MDA is coaching:

Odom

Williams

Bryant

Nash

Rondo

Zero defense and RUN, BABY, RUN!  :bleh:

Huston aggressively shopping Lin. Thoughts on Lin backing up Nash for a year, then taking over? I wouldn't mind it. He could develop into a stud PG

I sincerely doubt it, it would only happen if MDA pushed for it. Of course those two had 'success' in NY so can't entirely dismiss it.

We aren't taking any toxic contracts. Houston is panicking to unload them after losing Smith. Let them suffer

It is unfortunate because I do think he is a solid PG, probably even a really good one in the right system. But once things begin to get 'difficult' in Houston, I am fairly sure Lin will shoulder most of the blame.

And a bench and a coach, too.

Forgot those.

Lets just say we need a new team..
