I think we should just move on and get someone else, is Tyrus Thomas still an FA?
Lamar Odom signs with Knicks

Anybody who goes into drug in order to get rid of issues and problems in life shows the mind is weak. Do we even need a weak minded person in the lineup? I don't care what kind of issues in life you have, there will always people who had is worst than you. Having to go into drugs or alchohal just to escape your problems instead of facing it straight on shows that you will run away whenever there are issues elsewhere. Are we supposed to feel sorry for him? Is that what he wants?
I always like LO. He is a great person but his mind is so weak it just not worth it. He gets butt hurt so easily for little things. He gets too emotional at times. ANd he is willing to ruined his own life because he wants to escape issues in life? You can give me all the tragedy in Lamar's life but that is no excuse for him to do what he did. I've known people who had it worst then him and still survive.

The Lakers had “some interest” in acquiring Odom and had talks with him in early July, but the team no longer has any interest in acquiring him, according to a league source familiar with the discussions.

4get tryign to put interest back = Kobe should get him into another facility & get him clean if rumors are true. Damn shame Candy Man really stood for that White Girl Candy! SMFH
^ That sucks. Kobe should get involved. He can help push the interest back again.

Is there proof he is doing cocaine. Remember Dave Chappelle fled to Africa to get away from things maybe Lamar doing the same.
"I'm not crazy," Chappelle said. "I'm not smoking crack. I'm definitely stressed out."

exactly! Cano, Exactly we need to help LO don't matter if he is "Toast" I'd rather have him be a Mbenga type of role than having him die
Didn't realize the Lakers were LOs guardian angel. If he's struggling with drug abuse, he needs to go to rehab, not play in the NBA. I'm sure they will reach out to him and offer him support, but where is the logic in giving him a roster spot he's not deserving of? If playing for the Lakers is his reason for living, he needs serious professional help and I hope he gets it. Don't want to see him spiral downwards of course, but I also don't want him on the Lakers.

despite they fact that they're a gossip site, they usually have it right...

Can't nobody do crack in the privacy of their own homes these days without the paparazzi gossiping all about it?
In all seriousness, I hope Lamar gets better. But at this point I doubt he'd be able to contribute to a team.

Best to Lamar and his family. I hope he gets it figured out and gets rid of whatever demons are chasing him. Bball should not matter right now, unless it is part of his going straight process.

I don't have any first hand experience with drug dependence, and I can't honestly say I understand the point of view of an addict. However, I do feel sorry for Lamar and hope he works it out. It's a dark path he's going down. On the other hand, there many people who have it MUCH worse than millions and fame.
