This is a keep the payroll as low as possible season. Odom has rings so he wont go to the clippers on the off chance they get lucky and win it. He knows he's a laker. He will be happier here. Also he will get playing time here where on the clippers he probably wont.

We have nothing to lose by signing any players at this point unless the contracts extend past next season.

He sucks now.. let's move forward enough with the washed up players

Next season is a wash and their is no available players that will change that. The front office needs to just maintain cap space for next year.

Actually like it

If we are going to suck, might as well do so with players I like

I'd be fine with bring him back for cheap. But I hope you guys saying bring back Walton are just kidding. Most of us we're partying when he got sent to Cleveland.

Frankly I say lets get the band back together. Get Odom, Sasha, Farmar back for the VM lol. We have nothing to lose. We can have a Laker championship nostalgia team tour NBA season lmao. :D Hell get Ammo,DJ, Luke and Josh back 2. In all seriousness though, I wouldnt mind Odom back for the VM only though.

Lakers also have an interest in Elton Brand, but he may be outside their price range

^ You've never really been much of an LO fan have you? Even in his better days it seems. You were still always somewhat hesitant to compliment.

To be fair at times I was also hesitatant in prasing him, for every good game it felt like a mediocre one would soon follow. Great talent and abilites for his size, but just settled when he could've been so much more.

One thing that makes me laugh is that now that we are stuck with D'Antoni, rather than going after shooters and other perimeter players to work in D'Antoni's system, now we are going after bigs.
