If that were to happen. It's better than having Jodie to be a 3rd string SG and have Nick back up Kobe at the 2.

Update

Some of the top options on the market include Odom and Aldrich and while it has taken a while, there is a chance that the Lakers could still sign Odom. The 33-year-old has dealt with injuries over the past two years and while he is not the player he once was in Los Angeles, like when he was sixth man of the year in 2011 with 14.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, he still could provide some solid depth on the bench.

Odom has averaged 6.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists over the past two seasons and while he is over the hill when it comes to being an elite player, he can give solid minutes and depth for the Lakers who desperately need it. The Lakers made a number of moves this offseason with Nick Young and Wesley Johnson and adding Odom could help in 2013-14. Some other players that could interest the Lakers includes Drew Gooden as well as Raja Bell, but it is more likely that the team signs Odom.

If it comes down to lousy camp invite guys or rolling the dice for one year on a guy who knows his role, likes to play in the Laker uniform, knows how to play with Kobe and doesn't complain about playing time, I don't see why anyone would be against the Lakers signing Odom.

I asked Emplay on Twitter. They have one spot left. It's still possible, but not sure

Clippers coach Doc Rivers patiently waiting to sign Lamar Odom after getting rave reviews about how great a teammate he is, source tells Y!

One of the rave reviews about Lamar Odom given to Doc Rivers came from former Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro.

If he wants to contend, he'll go to the Clippers. If he wants to relive the glory days while spending most of his time getting blown out, he'll choose the Lakers.

Plausible. If Doc Rivers personally contacts Odom, then he'll most likely go there. Contending team with one of the greatest coaches of all time.

Odom probably knows the Lakers won't hold onto him next season. Heck, the "Lakers aren't sold out on how much Odom can provide" must have been a turnoff.

Agreed, "One second, Jamison. Let me just make sure Odom isn't signing with us first. Then we'll sign you."

The Los Angeles Clippers hope to soon re-sign Lamar Odom, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Free-agent forward Antawn Jamison was led to believe he would be signing with the Clippers but was told Thursday the Clippers were instead focused on re-signing Odom, a source said.

New Clippers president and coach Doc Rivers has been told Odom had a positive influence in the team’s locker room last season. Former Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro is among those who have spoken positively about Odom to Rivers.

NBA scoopage: Clippers moving to re-sign forward Lamar Odom; deal expected to happen soon, Lakers not out yet.

Clippers relentless but Odom still undecided... so someone asked him if Odom really wanted to be a Clipper again

That I don't know right now. RT @LakersHubPH: @MaxLuckan but does lamar wants to be a clipper again?
