Full @Shaq quote on @DwightHoward leaving #Lakers for #Rockets: "The Dwight Howard thing, it was expected. We've all been in LA, and not a whole lot of people can handle being under the bright lights. Everybody wants to do it, but when you get there, there are certain pressures. I think it was a safe move for him to go to a little town like Houston. That's right, little town. I said it."

Yeah, I defended Dwight at the time which is a natural reaction. I also still think it was petty of Shaq to get so competitive, but his criticisms were very accurate.  Dwight is a mental midget

I like it how in the beginning, we were all telling Shaq to shut the hell up every time he talked about Dwight. Now, we are loving it.

Everything he said though is true.

It is funny cause people have been treating Houston like it is a small market, it's like a top 5 media city in the US lol.

But overall we all saw this coming from Shaq and well frankly cheers lol.

I think it was easy for us to defend Dwight, he was a Laker, all we chose to see were his physical attributes, not his mental weakness.

He's not a winner bc he's still counting the fact that making it in the NBA is what qualifies him. No, he's been in the Association for 9 seasons, his standards for judging himself as a winner should be raised.

I dont agree with everything shaq said about him, but dwight really is a mental midget. He is very immature for his age, wilts under pressure, and constantly has a need to feel "validated" by others around him

We really dont need a guy like that on this team. The only reason i regret him leaving is that now we dont have any real tradable assets, because I do think he would have gotten traded sometime down the line even if he did resign with us

Dwight represents the majority of young people in the NBA these days. Weak minded people afraid of any challenge.

I believe Shaq is in heaven right now. He won lol. He is the true superman of LA. Dwight could not do what he did. You know Shaq gon hate on Dwight even harder now. I have never had any problem with what Shaq has said about Dwight. If anything just like Kobe he was challenging Dwight to see what he was made of. Well he got his answer lol.

Not gonna lie, I was bummed yesterday because I wanted Dwight back. But now I realize that everything Shaq said was true. I can't think of many games where I can say "I don't know where we'd be without Dwight".

Dwight was a great player, no doubt. But we have the best fan base in the world and I know that everything will work itself out.

With Dwight Coward's dreams of the second-coming of Shaq/Kobe with Harden in Houston... I so would love to see a 2 on 2 battle, even at this stage in their careers/retirement.

I'd pick Shaq/Kobe and probably win, 9 times out of 10.
