Ok we know that end of next season is the season every laker fans and season ticket holder look forward to. We all know that the lakers are aiming to get out of the cap hell.  But last I check this is a business and lakers still need to play a full season next year. Lakers are known to able to sell the fan base and season ticket holder so they can renew their tickets and buy merchandises for the up coming season.  This is where Jeanie Buss is in charge because last I check she is in the business side of the lakers. So who cares if her brother pretty much making her job a lot harder.  I am just curious if you are on the Lakers business side of things, how are you going to market the lakers for next season? You cant just tell the fans " we going to suck next year so wait for the summer of 2014".  So what are you going to do if you are the guy or girl who need to market the lakers for next season?  How will Time Warner Cable sell the lakers? Looking forward to next season?  I know I do because I bleed purple and gold. I dont jump off band wagons like some lakers fans will do.

Ok I've noticed some post that doesn't get this thread. Put yourself in Jeanie Buss shoes and be the marketing director. How are you guys going to market the lakers for next season?  This is the thread to pretend to do so.  Im not asking for you guys to respond like "yea i;ll still watch"  NO [expletive].   so just to make it clear.

[expletive] D12 btw

Do Laker fans have such a short memory that they have forgotten at some point our starting five boasted Smush, Kwame, and Luke Walton with a bench compromised of an oft injured Mihm, Cook and then under performing and unhappy Odom. Back then people were saying it was over and end of the line for the franchise. It is the Lakers, they'll sell tickets.

People will continue to sell out Lakers games.

The fanbase isn't fickle and flip floppy.

Only on the internet.

Are they really going to be any worse than last season, barely making the 8th seed and going out in the first round putting up maybe a quarter of competitive basketball in the entire playoffs.  I think they will be fine, they sell themselves as the Lakers, not the Lakers featuring Dwight Howard, I should know I have been on a waiting list to get season tickets for 3 years, people don't give them up.

How are you going to sell it to the fans? Let me make it clear. I know all of you will continue to watch but we all know there are plenty of bandwagoners.  If you are the people who run the marketing and business side, what are you guys going to do?

Lakers fans have home games in other people's arena's no matter how bad the team is.

If there's bandwagoners they don't take up much of our crowds.

I will say this though, at least now our young players will have opportunities to develop, even if it by because of no other choices lol.

I look forward to the new Twin Towers of Sacre and Kelly.

Jordan Hill will also get a lot of play time.

Like I said if we sign Brendan Wright it will help us a lot.

Shouldn't job #1 be to tank and make the lottery?  This team isn't competitive and this draft is going 10 deep with probably the best prospect since LBJ.  They were going to have a season of pain no matter what, at least now they know they won't be competitive and can get on with the rebuild.  Best thing that could have happened.  Dwight has not and will not be a winner.

Dude tanking doesn't work.  You only have a 25% chance anyway and the Lakers don't tank.

No way you're ever convincing Kobe to tank.  ESPECIALLY now.  He'd get us to the playoffs in defiance if they asked him to.

Tell the fans Ryan Kelly is the new Dirk. I'm looking forward to seeing new faces and signings that GENUINELY want to be here.
