Something to think about in regards to 2014: We may able to get Dirk, I wonder if Nash can convince him to join us for cheap?

Look at that Mavs roster: VC, Bernard James, Jae Crowder, Marion, Jose Calderon, Monta Ellis no decent bigs...2 consecutive years of capspace, having a championship coach and they have struck out on Deron Williams, CP3, Howard and whatever border line all star out there and are stuck with Calderon and Ellis in the backcourt for next couple of years LOL .  I think we can get him over here next season. Dallas has nothing going for them.

While it sounds fun to have KB, Nash and Dirk on the same team would it be effective at 37, 42, 37?

Its gotta be long odds that those bball geezers all stay healthy. But I wont lie....I'd enjoy it regardless of the outcome.

Is it?
No question is has been his team but is it still?
Theres a few in the FO that may argue the legitimacy of that comment now.

The Lakers are not doing what they necessarily want to do.
Doing what they wanted to do is what got them into the situation they're presently in.
Now they're reacting to that situation by doing what they need to do.

It doesn't matter how long and hard KB wants to complain about it I dont see the FO doing what he asks anymore.
Publicly the story will be different. They will presnt KB as the leader/franchise etc. Thats what the fanbase wants to hear.
But any KB comment, complaint, suggestion or demand will fall on deaf ears behind closed doors.

Example 1. Ron Artest is about to be amnestied. Kobes not happy and hes voiced his opinion. Is anyone retracting that decision yet? Nope.

This is Kobe's team. No question about it. Kobe's voice just isn't as relevant when it comes to demands because he's close to the end of his career. It doesn't mean it's not his team still.

Think of Dirk as the Ray Allen of the Heat. This roster can cause some problems

Okafor
Wiggins
Melo
Kobe
Nash

Bench: Hill, Dirk, Kyle Lowry

yea I wish to. That roster is a dream because we get veterans who can deliver and a young gun future franchise player. But I don't think having both elements is possible. Its just to improbable unless Pau gives us the Draft Picks to do so. Awwwww.....pipe dreaming :-)

I'd be content and excited for our future with only Wiggy on the payroll. And KB so he can retire a Laker.

and

tank_zps4171be94.jpg

in 4-5 years we will be competitive again.

Time to find out who the real, real fans are...... :hmm:

Blow it up.
Tell KB to sit the year out.
Trade pau for anything or let his contract expire.
Amnesty Ron Ron.
Let Nash expire cuzz a trade isn't likely.
Fire MDT. Sign a new young coach like the Heat did. Like OKC did. Like the Nets just did.
Everyone else give the option to leave if they want to.
Hope KB is OK with that. If not to bad. What happens, happens. This is the cards we were dealt. Its not really shocking to me.

All of this is old news and we can slice that hair 100 different ways.

New news: Implement Operation Shake our Etch-A-Sketch to erase everything so we can draw a new future.

All of the above^

6 weeks...and hell be back and reinjure something else. Injuries have many friends they like to hang out with. And when your older it seems they have parties all the time.

You just violated LN Unwritten Rule #3: never revive an old thread that makes a volume poster look bad, because past assertions/ predictions should not impact their credibility today.

Of course rule nos. 1 and 2 are:

Never ever criticize Kobe for anything.

This team won't rebuilt through the draft.

Rather, they will get lottery picks that did not work out their first year or two in the league.

That's how they will acquire role players.

Then, the Lakers will either make a risky move and get a star in the FA.

You mean high draft picks like Bynum, Kobe, Magic, Worthy, guys like that?
