Anthony Morrow has been in contact with the L.A. Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks, per a source.

Of course he has.  He's a 28 year old shooter, one that doesn't play defense, that is coming off the worst season of his career last year.

What defender can we afford RD, since you LOVE taking shots at the Lakers.

give me ONE that is in the MMLE budget

also, give me a guy who can start with the rest of the starters when Kobe is out, defensive or not

I'll take him over Meeks for sure. Way more consistent. And dont really count this year as his worst he only played 4 mins and only 17 games, i can see why its his worst season.

Ah the guy I used to beat at the Y :bounce:

he didn't play defense back then either =p

Better than Meeks at shooting but that's about it.

More interested in the Lakers being interested in Kenyon Martin.

Is he better than Goudelock, because thats who has an available spot.

i'll take Morrow over rRon, even if that means Kobe at the 3.

Ron doesn't fit anymore

He's a more consistent shooter than Goudelock and they both play about the same amount of defense.

But what Goudelock has over him is the ability to get his own shot.  Morrow pretty much is a spot up shooter, you leave him alone and he becomes Danny Green in games 1,2,3,4 and 5.     You stay on him and he becomes Danny Green in games 6, 7.

Goudelock can GET his own shot but he isn't ready right now. morrow has been a known commodity in the NBA for a few years now,

Skillset is one thing

Effectiveness is another

I already went this route with you, and put out an FA list earlier in another post as well.  I didn't bother running through all of the FA's, either.

We are getting players for MDA.  It's a mistake.  Until mistakes are avoided, I'll continue "taking shots" at this franchise.

Oh yeah he went to high school with dhow but so did Javaris Crittenton. Does Dwight want him I would bring him just for the reason you stated Morrow(Dwight),Rudy Fernandez(Gasol), and Chris Douglas Roberts(Kobe).

What do you think of the Lakers interest in Martin, Copeland and Brendan Wright then?

Copeland and Wright are fine, because they do more than just camp out and shoot threes.  Copeland has potential to be a starter.

Martin as in...Kenyon Martin?  I'd rather pick up someone younger.  We wouldn't need K-Mart if we kept Clark.

Floor spacers compliment Dwight's game.

In fact a lot of players that would fit "d'antoni" would fit Dwight as well.

The problem is, we're focusing on perimeter players and guys that have more than one dimension of their game.

So when a shooter is called up, because some people feel we have enough shooters then it's considered a D'antoni move over a Dwight move.

In all honesty floor spacers help them both but the fact of the matter is there are better ones than Morrow that could offer a little more.
