Never was a big fan of him. Good guy, mediocre game.

Good player for Charlotte though. Team and city with no expectations get a player who is satisfied with that. Good match.

Really good pick up for them, dude is really underrated. Basically can give you 20 and 10 every night which solid. One of the better centers in the league and is never talked about.

Overrated player from day one.

There's a reason he doesn't stick with a team very long.

So a center that has a career average of 72% from the ft line, with his best season where he avg 23/11 with almost 2 blocks on 50% is overrated? You have to be talked about to be overrated and no one even talks about him no way he is overrated.

Really surprising. Probably a great fantasy pickup this season.

Tyrus Thomas will be amnestied

The Charlotte Bobcats will sign Al Jefferson and use their amnesty provision on Tyrus Thomas, according to reports.

I think he is underrated to a point, not a great center but an efficient rebounder with some decent post moves. Problem has been health and lack of leadership. I think Zeller is a quality pick, probably should've taken Len though but whatever. Ultimately they are finally making decent moves in a positive direction. Plus Gilchrist while not spectacular is a nice young player still developing. Who knows maybe because of so many bad mistakes the bar is low for them that any good move seems great. But definitely Jefferson is a solid signing.

Amazingly if they reach 35+ wins, they are in playoff contention in the East considering Atlanta is gonna take steps back, the Buck as well.

great signing...
totally underrated player...
gives you 20/10

guy gets no respect because he was traded for KG...
Bobcats are PERFECT for him...

he will need to average 25ppg and 13 rebs a game, just to keep the Cats out of the lotto...

Yep, overrated.

Any way you try to sell it.

A role player at best, but not the type of player that changes a team or makes some big impact. The kid has been over sold since day one.

lol wtf? He averages 18 and 9. Not like the best center of all time or anything but considering no one ever talks about him, he's far from overrated.

Really solid player.

I dont know where you read your sports news but Al jefferson has never been over sold, dude doesnt even get talked about. No one is saying he is a monster to carry your team to the chip, but certainly is better than being a player that no one ever talks about dude has put up pretty solid numbers his whole career.

I don't view him as over or underrated.  Nice pickup for the cats I guess.  I think they overpaid just a bit, but perennial lotto teams usually have to.  At least Charlotte is putting some pieces in place to be competitive.

Exactly and given the bottom tier of East seeds have dropped even lower now is a good time to push forward.

O.K., great when he changes the culture and landscape of the Bobcats and the East give me a call.

He's an average player.  He excels when he is the only go to guy.  Put anyone around him and he quiets right down.  He's better than what the Bobcats have, but it's an insignificant signing as far as the landscape of the East or the NBA go.

Enjoy.
