He's won a title and treats his players great when they are there. He is out there and visible, maybe to a fault. He made Dallas relevant in the NBA world.

No, it's not actually.

he didn't give his team a chance to repeat, and lost Mayo. Doesn't seem to be the place dwight wants to go. the Deron thing did not work out.

I was just giving some reasons why you may think he is good, because no owner is more discussed TODAY in the NBA on ESPn as Jim Buss. But I want to compare him to another KNOWN owner in some ways

one of the best owners... in any sport...

but it was weird to see him just give up on defending his NBA title...

kinda reminded me of how the marlins won 2 world series... be really bad, peak, win, then get really bad again fast...

if any team out west, would go hard tanking for wiggins, I think dallas might be it

I don't really think so. He has a lot of money, but doesn't always make the smartest decisions. For example. he didn't really make much of an effort to keep the 2011 Mavs contending another year, which I think they could have done imo.

Mark is a good owner in terms of caring for his players and give them what they want and need.  But he is also a very annoying owner and adumb owner who can go over his head sometimes that will cause his franchise.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

Cuban has brains and is a very business oriented man and therefore has established himself as a pretty solid owner.

Without him, the Dallas Mavericks would be an after thought and despite not trying to defend the title, if it weren't for him the Mavs would easily be a bottom tier team in my opinion.  Yeah he flaunts and likes to talk but he has backed it up on numerous occasions and puts his money where his mouth is.

If there were more owners like him, the NBA would have more parity. He's not afraid to spend money and not afraid to take chances to make his team better. He treats his stars well and does anything to win.

He's not afraid to go all in, I'll give him that. He's annoying as hell, but if I were a Mavs fan I'd like him.

Cuban gets heat for being arrogant and cocky. But I love his passion for his team. Doesn't matter if he runs his mouth. He runs it because he can.

I admire Cuban's business skills and how he amassed his wealth. He is very passionate about having a winning team, similar to the late Dr. Buss. It is probably his risk-taking that led him to success, but it also backfired in the 2012 off-season and may also backfire again this offseason if he cannot get anyone notable to sign.

Good owner, but he is far too intrusive on day to day team operations.

His micro-management irks a lot on his players, Dirk included. When he backed off, the Mavericks won the championship.
