The only part of going to Cleveland is that you have Kyrie Irving as your point guard.

By meeting with teams that have interest?  Sounds like typical Free Agent situations to me.

I think Dwight re-signing or not re-signing would quicken a LOT of the decisions that free agents wondering "yes or no" on the Lakers.

Not if they are going to overpay him. They could give him his biggest contract he will ever get in the NBA.

Exactly. Despite Earl literally saying he wants to stay with us so badly he'll even take less money, it's still no guarantee, especially when he's actually entertaining the thought of the contrary by physically meeting up with these other teams & all. At the end of the day, more times than not, money does indeed talk and we shall see if Earl remains true to his word to the fullest or gives in to temptation and in a way betrays us.

Because he's an adult and he has the right to do what he wants and what's best for him and his family.  Are you 11 years old buddy?

Why is he even bothering to meet with them? What a liar. He basically said and gave off the impression that he wanted to stay with the Lakers no matter what even for cheaper, which would lead one to believe he wouldn't even mess with or consider another team. BS Earl, you broke my heart.

Of course he does, but then he shouldn't have made the statement he made intially when his actions say otherwise. That's the point.

Damn. The fact that they are not making a move without seeing what Dwight does is killing me. I would hate to lose Earl.

Mike Brown never played Earl Clark. Why does he want him now?

Poor LeBron.  Probably thought he could return to Cleveland and pick up where he left off.

Gonna be tough to return with Clark in his spot.

Losing Clark and Dwight would be a major blow to the frontcourt.

Earl Clark update: Lakers did reach out to him when free agency opened but want him back only on their contract terms.

So we are basically getting on hands and knees for dwight but we can give clark who actually wants to be part of this team a little extra.

Are you actually comparing Clark's importance to that of Dwight?

Also given our financial situation we'd only be able to pay Clark the vets min or a mMLE.

You should understand we can't just fork over a little extra.    If Clark were to re-sign it wouldn't be a multi-year deal, and we wouldn't be able to overpay him.  I'm sure that's what the front office was making apparent.

Ok one yea we can offer him more. We have bird rights with him so we can give him a better contract. How do you think we are able to offer dwight such a big contract.

Also I never say he's more important. Im saying that he is an important player who giving him up because we didn't want to pay him a little extra is going to hurt us. He's young and has tons of potential.
