Jared Zwerling: League source: The #Knicks are interested in free agent big man Brandan Wright. The Lakers, Mavericks, Pistons & Raptors are also after him. Twitter @JaredZwerling

I like this move, as a backup for Dwight(if he re-signs)?  That would be perfect.

Not sure if the Lakers would be able to get him, but if they did it would be a very solid signing.

What do you guys think?

Hill would play 4 most likely.

Nah. Get LO. Since it looks like the clips will offer Barnes a contract, keep Clark. Sign either Aaron brooks or nick young. Our bench should have one shot creator at one of the guards. Meeks will be in the mix, then hill and LO. Need to run a longer rotation. Need to get rid of MDA and get Phil.

Brandan Wright would be a great piece.  He is basically the Jordan Hill of the Mavericks and can play the 4 or 5.  High energy and plays with lots of passion and heart.

Would not disapprove...

One thing everyone has to remember is most of the "Lakers are interested/after" Rumors come from agents trying to boost their clients' stock.  Linking the Lakers and their client is instant news.  It puts players who noone is really thinking about on everyone's radar.

It's just a way to drive up their asking price in negotiations with other teams...

If Dwight re-signs, then the Lakers have a real bargaining chip to us in the free agent market...players will take less to play with Dwight.

Low cost center that plays defense sure. His contract with mavs was only 2 yrs for 1,908,532, if he is available around this price take him. He'd be nice when dhow in foul trouble. We do have Sacre and Gasol but we need the extra insurance and yes Jordan Hill plays pf/c but I believe he is better in the power forward position.

No i meant Wright. H'es useless. Couldn't hold up to what is considered above average whether before or after surgery.

Pass, I'd rather have Hill...

P.S. Him and Hill can play together and I'm sure you'd rather have him over Sacre(on the court)

because anytime you can sign a 6'9 200 lb center stuck in a SF body, you do it...
