I don't mind bringing Farmar in as a 3rd PG. With Blake and Nash injury plagued last year it beats having a Morris having to step in if that happens again. He has experience but isn't old and does bring athleticism that Blake and Nash don't have. I totally agree that his decision making and shot selection can be dubious. However it would be good to have a uptempo PG for versatility. If he will come for the VM then I'm not against it.

I'm not sure if Farmar will be on being 3rd string. He wanted to be a starter

@danielbuergeLA 53s
Just heard that the Lakers may have reached a deal with Jordan Farmar today. Working on confirmation, but it would fit several needs.

Not sure how credible he is, works for LakersNation.com, thought i'd share though.

Should be noted another guy tweeted this yesterday and is followed by Eric Pincus:

Getting word that Jordan Farmar has told people he is meeting with Lakers today, cannot confirm, but apparently from his mouth

@danielbuergeLA: At an event at UCLA, Farmar reportedly said he was coming back to play w/ the Lakers. Not sure if he was serious. But looking into it.

@danielbuergeLA 8m
Remember, there was a report saying he couldn't come back due to the buyout situation with his Turkish squad. So I'm unsure at this point.

Farmar has an opt-out clause after every season if my memory serves right.

Then again, I'm not sure how that would get past all these reporters.

Either way, decent pick-up. He should be the 3rd guard off the bench for now.

What is he?  The backup 2?

Lol, Lakers really are putting the 2008-2010 team back together.

I hope DJ Mbenga's next.

What is he?  The backup 2?

I'm guessing Blake plays 2 and Farmar plays 1.

Perhaps if MWP does get amnestied the starters would be Nash/Blake/Kobe and Farmar and Meeks would be the backup guards.

Idea being bounced by Laker bloggers on Twitter...if we get Farmar, Blake might be amnestied, then we wouldn't have to search for SF
