Could be more useful than Blake because of his speed and ability to get to the rim. In 2011-2012 he put up 10.4 ppg on 46.7% from the field and 44% from three in 21.3 mpg. That would be a huge help to us.

The Lakers are smart to stay in contact with him and keep their options open. He's been playing in the Turkish league for a year. It's no NBA of course, but they have some solid players (Deron Williams played there during the lock out). It's legit and they take it seriously, so it's not like he hasn't been doing anything.

I'm not saying he's a great player and we should sign him. But he's worth taking a look at, considering our options are extremely limited

He's not better than Blake and that's saying something. Jordan Farmar is a dumb player...he's not a smart basketball player. His speed is so overrated as is his ability to get to the rim. He can't shoot and he can't defend. It's time to stop bringing in guys who don't contribute anything.

And when he was with Lakers he looked Kobe off all the time thinking he was the better player / decision maker SMFH. Farmar got his hard dose of reality when he left Lakers now he want back in.

That's true. Maybe his decision making has improved though. I don't know, I'd give him a look. Couldn't hurt to explore our options and I think Mitch is smart to keep contact with him.

I'm definitely not saying they should sign, but the front office wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't explore all our options.

I already did. He has speed and hops, therefore gives us another look.

I won't dare go into detail, because i have seen from other post, you, as a non-athlete, don't respect NBA players who aren't All-Stars or deadly role players.

Maybe they are just assuming Nash is going to be hurt for stretches of time.

I thought Farmar had contract in Turkey or Israel or something?  I doubt Lakers would be willing to take that over....

RT @Mike_Bresnahan: Jordan Farmar isn't returning to Lakers. Has 2 more yrs on Turkey contract. The buyout he'd have to pay is more than Lakers would pay him.

Didn't he want to be a starter so he left LA?

well if last season was any indicator, he could end up the starting 1 or 2 for some time. that is if he doesnt get injured himself. its too bad that kid never had the pg head/skills to match his athleticism

Abdul-Jabbar told the San Francisco Chronicle last month he met Howard only once and that Howard expressed an interest in learning from the former Lakers captain but he never again reached out to Abdul-Jabbar.

‘He’s charming, he’s charismatic, very nice young man,’ Abdul-Jabbar said. ‘Maturity-wise, he doesn’t get it.’

Speed is the reason Morris managed minutes. farmar has got enough talent to be a part of NBA roster

[expletive] that. Can't play defense, can sometimes get to the basket, and is on and off shooter. Better off with Duhon.

Blake is a better defender??? Really??  Blake had his best year as a Laker last year and that wasn't fabulous. I'd be happy just to have a guard that can DUNK!!!

Blake is still better than him and a more consistent shooter and better passer, better defender and less mistake prone.   Only thing Farmar has on Blake is age, and it ain't THAT big of an advantage.

pass.
