Nope he is not.

Anyway I still hold this as one of my proudest games.

Watching us beat this Detroit Pistons team with Rip and Wallace while Kobe was resting on the bench in the "Dark times" was B-E-A-Utiful

But I can also watch Sasha cross Wade all day too =p

I'm not sure about that. Blake had a good stretch but is declining.

Farmar could have made real strides as a player.

Blake may be declining but Farmar never left the track.

No defense, average/below average handles, average/below average vision, poor shooter. He sucks

Farmar isn't better then Blake, but I think Farmar will surprise some of u this year, specially in a more fast paced system like MDAs

And? He only took three per game which is right at his career number.

Mike D'Antoni will love him I'm sure.

A debate over who is the better PG. Blake or Farmar. Has it really come to this?

3 per game for a bench player is pretty norma

l. He hasn't played for the lakers in years and since he left his stats have gotten much better. You are basing everything off his first years in the NBA in which he had to play in a very PG unfriendly offense.

He's a much better player now.

If I see a backcourt of Farmer and Blake, I'm bumping the Fire MDA thread.

Mike D'Antoni is GARBAGE.

I'm sure everyone hated the idea of a backcourt of Nash and Blake too.

Till it worked.

Really? Gotten better? lol

He went to NJ/Brooklyn and got off a few more shots with a few more minutes but his FG% was still TRASH. He can't even get to the FT line because he doesn't have point guard penetration skills and his handles are wack.

I'm basing this off of what he was in LA: TRASH and what he is now: TRASH

PJ likes Luke Walton too; doesn't mean he was a good player.

Phil Jackson was a master at assigning roles.

Luke fit with what Phil wanted to do and before injuries derailed his career our team DID benefit from his playmaking ability in the minutes he got.

He would have loved Marion and Nash too.   He'd like Wesley Johnson and Nick Young as well.

pretty much everyone in our lineup is someone Phil would love.

The problem is some of them(like Farmar) would want a more prominent pick and roll role and as we saw with Blake last year put him in a pick and roll offense with off ball tendencies and you'll get the best out of him.

The best compromise would be a mixture of the triangle and the pick and roll and if Phil is working with D'antoni as a consultant with 3 triangle guys on the coaching staff, and 5 triangle players, or players versed in the triangle on the team then that's what we'll probably get.

We just need roles defined properly and that is the challenge although it doesn't seem difficult does it?    But we'll see when the season begins if he's up to the task.
